anyone seen this?
I've seen alot of complaints about team stacking, people get on a server and the vets/clanners are all on one team. However, we recently took the password off of our pub and I've seen something very different. Because it is our clan's server and we realize that people dont want to play on a server with stacked teams, we make a special effort to split up and keep teams fair. But lately, I've noticed that the pubbers seem to stack a team before the clanners even get a chance to split themselves up. There'll be a marine team with 1 clanner and 6 pubbers and an alien team with 3 clanners and 1 pubber, with 3 vets/clanners sitting in the readyroom thinking "hmm what should we do." All the pubbers rush into marine and the clanners who go random all end up "stacking" aliens =[

I like to switch around what team I go on each map to have variety, but I join marine if teams are even ( the comm, after all, isnt really a player).

I see the same thing on our server. I have been encouraging my clanmates to please go random and avoid stacking the teams as much as possible, but I have seen the same thing. 10 pubbers crammed into the marine portal every game. Ugh, what can you do.

I see a lot of this as well, I go random most of the time (unless I feel the need to Com).

However I also see pubbers going alien, finding out it isn't that easy and then leaving, causeing the Marine side to be overly powerful due to all the pubbers leaving the "harder" team.

I have also noticed that it seems autobalance doesn't work to well, anyone else seen that?

We have a un-official server rule on jarHedz.

First round on a map you go random (i.e. everyone), next round you swap, then it's a new map. When it's observed it works usually.

I have definately seen this on my server. The alien team always seems stacked because the pubbers charge the marine portal, while the clanners go random (and get stuck on alien). Personally, when I see this happening, I "jointeamone" to get on marines to help even it out. Of course, I usually end up getting owned by the stacked aliens Damn Othell and his onos whoring!

I odn't like how when a game is going for a little while, some people on one side get bored and leave, putting the teams at 8v5 or something, but nobody says anything about it. But then, when one team starts dominating, the team with fewer players begins to whine about stacking and shouting "OMG!!! TEAMSTEAMSTEAMS!!! YOU STACKING ****". Its even worse when an admin is on the team with fewer people, and his/her team is losing its hold on areas of the map, and they say "Even the teams or I start kicking." Ruins the game for those of us that have been on one side the whole time.
