Ns 2.0 Is What I Predicted

Turrets farms for as far as the eye can see. Once marines get HA/HMGs the aliens might as well f4. They just find a spot that has perhaps 1 exit and turret farm the hell out of it, then station 2 has with hmgs at the entrance and a guy with a welder behind them. Then medpack spam them. then they wait until they have enough for an HA train and they move out. oh and thanks a WHOLE bunch for nerfing the HELL out of umbra. COOL! umbra! fwip SWOOSH and its alreayd gone..., One major coutner in 1.04 to HA were spores, now they are useless agaisnt HA. Devour is usless except against a hurt loan marine, by the tiem you manage to stun them and switch weapons his firends have already made you redeem or killed you in 10 shots thru your pitiful armor...

    1) please tone it down a bit
    2) it seems most other people are complaining about marines being too weak
    3) marines don't get huge turret farms if you and your kharaa friends are on top of their movements
    4) I agree about spores. I think they should at least hurt the armor. BUT, HA IS the top of the marine tech tree. I think devour is supposed to be a counter to HA, but in my experience, it's just a little too difficult to use. You have to stomp, crouch, and try 10-15 times just to get someone.

    Try playing for a week more and watch as all these lesser skilled Players adapt to the game and things become alot more balanced in the mind of players.
    Your post is pointless and its been said by a number of other aswell!

    If you won't play the game for a few weeks, and get use to it, you opinion isn't helpful!

    K um... hmmm

    First take out any of their undefended res nodes. Then bilebomb any undefended turret farms. Put ocs where their turret farm was, to prevent it from being retaken. Even tho umbra sucks, get 2 lerks, to do nothing but umbra while skulks, onos try and rip up the turret factories, gorges to set up structures to draw fire and cause havoc. If any grenade launcher's appear, devour them one by one. Don't bother with stomp - just use celerity. If you have 3 hives, use web as much as possible.

    And if that doesn't work then hey well the marines gotta win a couple games too. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    im a comm.. and yes.. turret farming seems to be too powerfull.. realy
    Marines win most of the games i play, but well... nerf the aliens, go, make them even easyer targets

    I had this problem, but then I realised I was trying to line up the devour with the onos' mouth, not the centre of the screen.

    You really shouldn't need to crouch, just look down and keep that marine in the centre of the screen.

    That's what the lastweapon key is for. (Q by default)

    I can't think of any places with one exit (at least, not placed with hives or rts). Most maps are designed so that there is no-where you can do that in.

    But seriously, why is it that when it gets to the end of the game, and the marines have a turret farm, everyone tries to take out each individual turret one by one? We usually try going for the IMPORTANT things first, like maybe the turret factory, or their last res node, or even the arms lab so they lose their upgrades, or maybe the observatory so we can cloak/they lose motion tracking.

    edit - getting that last res node can be the most fun, because at that point you know they're not getting any income but from what they can kill <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Feh, more baseless whining. Marines get more resources because it's harder for them to take and hold RNs. Going gorge, dropping the node and 3 OCs and an upgrade chamber costs 65 resources. A comm dropping a RT, dropping a TF, electrifying the RT and putting up 4 turrets costs 105 (or 115.) Also it takes onc gorge to build, and you can often get 2-3 doing the same thing at other nodes. Marines generally need to move their whole team to avoid getting ambushed and losing the RT before it's properly defended.

    The game is balanced. Accept it.

    Actually, the marine has to be in the center of your screen to devour him. Put the half life crosshair on it and it makes it easier...although I havnt tried that yet.

    He's saying that aliens are UNDERbalanced. He's saying that aliens suck massively and that marines are overpowered.

    there are games where they are absolutely fun even though I was on the losing team. Good struggle between marines and skulks. I like this version much better because you have to have skill to use the aliens.

    u guys need to quit bitching about 2.0 balance...flayra made the game wouldnt u think hes played the game/acknowledges its problems A BIT more than us? also all u guys claiming that 2.0 is balanced, quite frankly, also need to SUYF. aliens are overpowered and flayra knows it...QUIT POINTING IT OUT. it will be alleviated with a 2.01 patch.
