A Call To Balance

<div class="IPBDescription">To all of you clan people.</div> I've seen this too many times that it's not funny anymore. What is it? Well it's simply clan vs pub syndrome occuring on some of the servers owned by clans. Sure I understand that's it's your server and you want to play with each other, but think about it, is it really fun to totally massacre the other team while hearing them whining how marines are too strong?
I for sure don't think that being on the opposite team of the clanners is fun at all. Some of you will say this is challenge, I say no, this is being beaten to pulp.
So please, next time you clan stack, think about what fun an even game can bring instead of how you can win the easiest.

    You wouldn't notice if all the clanners removed their clantag so why whine about it?

    This can be a problem, but i every so often the pub team, which i'm on, pulls together slaps the clan team like a red-headed step child and it makes all those one sided matchs worth while. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I don't think I've ever seen that before. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I always thought clanners from the same clan go on different teams, rather than stick together.

    Btw.
    If "elite" clanners are stacking and playing against a pub team they will only get weaker...

    No offence to non clanners ofcourse <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    True, but I think it's more likely that they'll just stay the same skill level.

    Two points.

    1. Their server, they can do what they like.
    2. Stacking will happen a lot atm as clans need to discover and experiment with new tactics, and the best way to test them is with people you know and can rely upon, and not (23)NSPlayer
  • BirdyBirdy Join Date: 2003-05-29 Member: 16825Members, Constellation
    NSPlayers aren't that bad

    I named myself NSPlayer before going in a game once and we won <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Clan Stacking can be a problem, good thing I never really have to deal with it on the servers I play on!

    its less fun having your mates in your team than having some nice duels against well known ppl.

    But then clan stacking on a pub server is just a pain <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Especially when they hang around in the ready room for 10 min before hand.

    Just because several people have Tags on does not make them better than someone without tags. MMZ has over 300 members, of which about 10% play NS. Of that 10% maybe 6 of them really know how to play to the point where it could be considered clan stacking. At any given time we could have 5-6 people playing on our server. We don't play in leagues, we don't scrim other clans, we don't hold practices. How could we possibly stack the teams. Heck, our members are spread all over the USA, and Canada. Some of us often only see eachother in games. Clan stacking seems to often be a scapegoat for losing. I'm not saying it doesn't happen but damn, 3 clan members on a 10 man team is hardly stacking. In fact a few times we asked the server to play pubbers vs MMZ and we lost. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> There are so many factors to a game that 3 people that know eachother can hardly be responsible for the other team losing.

    Read my post again will you. Now read it again, read again, read again.
    Did you notice any difference between your attitude/tone and mine?

    My last argument: What brings the most fun?
    a. An even game where both teams fight their **** off to win.
    b. A team which kicks the other team's butt.

    I'm not saying that you should do it, I'm just wishing that you did it.

    MMZ>Torak: What if it's 5/9 people?

    You have 3 options:

    o Spank them and teach them a lesson
    o Get spanked and learn from it
    o Find another server

    I enjoy playing with my clanmates but also encourage the better players to go random. If enough people stop playing on their server because the regulars feel the clan stacks, the server will die. I've had my experiences with a clan stacking consistantly; it's no fun to win with or lose to stacked teams. Don't get stressed over it, it is afterall, only a game.

    My CombatCrew always plays in one team. But even then we're not guaranted to win. Our stats are about 70% wins to 30% loses if 3 of us are in one team. But damn you right. If 6 or more ppl stack on one site thats not nice anymore.

    It really looks like many people think it is fun to get easy frags from enemies that cant fight back... Maybe they can feel l337 by fraging newbies.

    Any clan that stacks a pub almost certainly sucks anyways, and would/will get its **** handed to it in CAL - so be happy with that knowledge. If the clan that's stacking the server owns it, I'd say go elsewhere. They don't read this board, and if they do, they think they're awesome.

    The only way to get better as a clan is to scrim and match.

    well the point is, if you don't like it then leave.
    If your up to the challenge, then fight til the death ya kno?
    But some clans assign people to goto the opposite team
    to make it balanced.. but as well as for other clans who stack
    its pretty challanging.. but requires team work really.. and strategy..
    hit an run tastics, ect ect..

    I play in both pubs and clans, and I do not mind pubbers going against clans (or the other way around), provokes a little competition, and its even funnier when the pubbers win <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
