I would suggest finding a different texture altogether for the underside of those arches. I just don't think the stripes are going to work. And in that other pic, those stairs don't seem to have any support at all. They just look like they've been glued onto the wall.

Oh, and I think the lighting is really good in that pic with the stairs, and perhaps the blue could be toned down just a little bit in the archway.

I must say that, after making quite a few maps and partial maps myself, you are truly skilled. Your ability to turn out notably high quality areas in short periods of time is amazing.

Contrary to what every single person has said heretofore, I like the stripes on the arches in the hallway. It gives it a cool, flexed feeling.. or something. I can't really explain it.

Also, when you make stairs, unless you have a very good reason for it, never, EVER make each step line up with the next step on one segment. It looks cheap, and from what you've showed us in all of your other pictures, you have no problem making leet-0 architecture. Amp up those stairs, d00d!

Finally, as has been addressed before, certain parts of the map are excessively dark. This wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, but the areas I'm refering to are outside, with a rather brightly colored sky. It looks unnatural.

I look forward to seeing your future developments.

Heh heh, funny thing. My friend did the stairs, he thought it might be cool. I'm glad you like the arch texture, In an attempt to please everyone, maybe I can find one that gives that cool, flexed, techy look and still makes people happy.I am planning on maybe putting arch supports on the stairs and maybe a rail, expect an image post in the next hour. I may also be adding blue track lights around the room to brighten it up. Unfortunately, the green rooms with the windows got kinda sorta saved over on accident .Will repost when Ive completed the revised room.

Whole atairway room, kinda squarish for a cathedral, do you thing I should change the ceilign and make it an arch shape, or provide some relief from the archy architecture, By the way, the stairway leads up to the sanctuary, whic is gunna be hella cool. Course, that means im going to have to spend soem time planning it firts, hopefully by tomorrow, i can have some of the sanctuary begun.

Freaking hell, man! That's astounding! Those pictures look extremely nice. The textures looked pretty good too, from what I could tell. The lighting is also _very_ atmospheric in the second picture, which is great.

I really, REALLY look forward to seeing/testing this map. It looks wonderful.
I can't really tell you if you should give stray a bit from the arches or not (arches are always fun, in my opinion) because I'm not sure exactly how everything looks as a whole, but I can say that they seem to be working quite well so far.

The alignment you did with the line textures on the arches is much better, and they aren't necessarily a bad thing anymore. The lighting textures, however, could use some work. If you use Worldcraft's texture tool, you can select a face and fit the texture to it, using the fit button below the texture preview. Since I'm sure seeing flourescent bulbs chopped in half and still emitting light is something you don't see every day.

Heh heh, yeah. I knew about the alignment , and I used it a few times, but sorta got lazy toward 110 and didnt do the lights. Will fix. Thanks for all the great support and advice. This mod and it's community are great. I wont post any more screenies in this post and probobly not for a day or two elsewhere, I gotta do the Sanctuary. Thanks again.

ps. I will fix those other arch textures too and the lights.

that is awsome work, the only complaint is that i would like to see you put the stairs back floting on the wall, that filled in stair way is repulsing but I love the arches.
