Can anyone explain this strange phenomena known as green balls flying of something called ocs?
No seriously, what is with the projectiles? Sometimes you clearly see it striking straight on your face without you taking any damage, and other times it flies past you or clearly misses you and you take damage....

Its a display bug. OC's are changing in 1.1, currently they don't look like that.

As for 1.04, the OC projectile is similar to the Gorge Spit.

oc`s fire spikes in 1.1

In 1.04 OC's damage decreases with range. I believe it even goes down to zero with enough range. Also, sometimes they have a hard time hitting you properly when you're crouching.
