<div class="IPBDescription">do you have one?</div> Yeah, it's me again asking these questions in this off-topic forum. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

So do you own a mobile phone. I have heard a rumor that in finland almost everyone has a mobile phone.
It was 90% of the population, if i remember right. <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Really ? My phone is the size of a suitcase, occasionally someone will try and pickpocket me and I'll dropkick them with my ninja skils then smack them with my cellphone that's really huge...Well, not really, but that sure would be interesting...

    Yes.
    When I was a student (many moons ago) my mobile was cheaper than the phone in my dorm room. That was the chief catalyst for buying rilly.

    I got one as a present, quite liked it, but I seem to have fried the battery, as it now has, like 3 minutes of talktime then dies..It only really works when it's plugged into the charger so not very mobile really..

    I don't even like being bothered with phone calls at home so I sure don't want to be bothered EVERYWHERE ELSE! <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I will resist having a mobile phone for as long as I can <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I don't understand why you guys don't like mobile phones.
    I keep my phone with me all the time and it is really usefull.

    I mean, if i wan't to call one of my friends, i dont have to search for a phone box.
    And if somebody has something to say to me, he can easily reach me, no matter where iam.

    With mobile phone, i can send messages, check what kind of a weather it is going to be today or tomorrow, i can put remimders in it, etc...

    And actually in finland we dont even have as many phone boxes as we had few years ago. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I have a huge phone, one of those ones that you can spike on the ground and it bounces back up into your hand.

    have a nokia 3310, old and without all the fancy functions of a new mobile, but i wouldn't use them anyway.

    Hmm, maybe that's what's wrong with my phone too, then. I can have my phone on the charger for <i>days</i>, but I'll almost always get the "low battery" warning within a half hour after taking it off the charger.

    Strange thing about it though is that I even bought a new battery, and I still get the same problem. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I'm not sure of the model number, but it's one of the first Motorola digital phones. It's a few years old, and has seen better days. Maybe a new phone might be a decent idea. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    blech

    I don't have one and refuse to get one.

    lets see, If I had a cellphone who would be able to call me where ever I am?

    ANS: My Parents.

    I am from NYC, phone? walk a block and there you are <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I also have a system called 'all home america' basicly it is a 1-800 # that has a multiple extensions, so I call that, and then can call my parents where ever they are (thus cheap for dorm and I never need quartes when I am in NYC)

    And If I really need to get hold of a friend, I borow some one elses cell <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Its nice to have one where I live, its almost essential, like having a car and license, becasue:

    A: There are no payphones
    B: Everybody lives at least 10-20 miles away from each other
    C: It wastes alot of gas to look for people if you dont know where they are
    D: Ususally they are somewhere with no phone (I.E. in the middle of a field)

    I've got a Nokia 3390, and a GREAT plan with Voicestream. Well, it was Voicestream when I signed up, anyway. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> T-Mobile now, but the plans and prices are the same.
