<div class="IPBDescription">What have you heard?</div> My favorite is "Spawn Camper". Duh! The whole point of this game is to kill the other teams spawn! If you let them get that close, you deserve to die.

    I have to admit to getting midly **** off when they sit there for ages in a pile of health, killing everyone who spawns and doing nothing else. Fortunately, with the new healing power of the hive this is much less easy to pull of in 1.04 <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->.

    Actually, there's a difference between spawn camping and killing the spawn/hive.

    Spawn Camping:
    Clearing out all the Defenses just so you can sit there repeatedly killing the hapless marines/skulks

    Spawn Killing:
    Killing any defenders and then going after the spawnpoints/hive whilst killing any new spawners.

    (Sure the turret sounds harsh, but its the only wy to keep rambo guarding base)

    Oh and for spawn camping, I THINK its okay to do so, if you waiting for backup, but doing it for more than 1-2 minutes, should get you autobanned, However, if your building up a phase gate for your team to rush and destroy the hive, then I think that its ok to leave two on defeding while the others build (Although, such and early spawn camp/kill is usually resulting from a rush, and rushes are boring strategies, so hopefully most NS players wont partake of this) That being said, we had an admin slaughter an entire team because some of the team was spawn camping/hive killing, problem is the comm was left alive, so if he had been on the ball, and distress beaconed, we probably would have gone together and destroyed the hive.

    3) WTF!! THATS BULL*DUNG*!!! (after 1 skulk kills 3 marines in a row)

    Gee come to think of it, I don't even know how I learned to play... I remember never comming, building was quite natural for me, I knew the popupmenu existed... hmm I don't know.. I guess I'm just smart.     I see nothing wrong with spawn camping, the aliens shouldn't allow the marine to do it in the first place.... In fact that's one of the used strategies by advanced commander send 1-2 marines to the alien hive and shoot the spawners in thus delaying them.

    I think spawn killing is a legitimate tactic, especially in 1.04. Say you have 1 or 2 marines at their hive, if they stat unloading on the hive with LMGs, they're going to die while reloading. I've seen 5 HA/lmg marines not able to kill a hive and all die because they couldn't killt he skulks fast enough (due to hive healing so well in 1.04) but those were just some really good skulks. Anyway if all you're concentrating on is killing the skulks that come out that leaves the rest of your free to cap res nozzles and build sutff without fear of alien interference. That is a good thing. Clans do it all the time. A lot of times the aliens can run out of the way before they die (again hive heals fast!) and they can wait for lots of people to spawn, then flank the people who are spawn killing. If the aliens can't do that, then they need more teamwork. It's the marines version of "containing the other team in their base) except they can't destroy lots of buildings which costs money like the kharaa can.

    Yeah, a lot of CS people I run into in NS complain about not being able to buy weapons, and don't think they should be reliant on the commander. They generally rambo off when you give them something anyway. Also, the only people I see complaining about hacking and cheating are the CS people, they're so often coming out with comments like "OMG HA><ORS HOW THE **** COULD YOU SEE ME THERE?!" And people calming trying to say "It's called Motion Tracking".
    I did have one guy spam the server for a quarter of an hour that I was a hacker before he got kicked. His reasoning? I moved away from him at "Over 1000km/hour, this guy is ****ing cheating, kick him!!!" Seems he'd never seen Blink used before... <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
