    Here are two new images of ns_titan6. They aren't THAT special. They're just of small maintenance corridors that players can sneak through.

    Another reason why I'm posting is, I want all of you to tell me what you'd like to see in this level. I recently had a bug, which resulted in me having to scrap certain parts of the map. It's going to be for Marine Vs Marine play, so what kind of things would you like to see. Post them here.

    Enjoy the screens, and if you're new to this thread, check out the previous 4 pages as they're full of more screenshots.

    Well... they would do if it wasn't MvM....!

    it has a very 'massive' feel to it,
    i think it could easily result in some epic feeling battles of MvM as opposed to the close-quarters chaos of MvA.
    if you were able to continue the level stylistically for this different type of battle titan_6 will be exciting indeed.
    i also think you should make more of the yellow-lit industrial areas, those were nice

    Great! These are exactly the kind of posts I'm in need of <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> I'll certainly take these into account Wurmspawn.

    If people want to see barricaded canteens, or waste crushers, or anything else as specific as that, POST IT!

    Oh yeah, forgot about that ... too bad. Maybe you'll make an AvM version someday? (I think this was discussed a few pages back in this thread, but I haven't followed the whole thing.)

    Too bad you don't know if there are going to be any special requirements/limitations about MvM besides the command view.

    What the **** is a space ship that is designed exclusively for garbage processing?!

    ha!...... er....

    Well, I was thinking, if waste is produced on one planet, and needs to be removed, it would have to be by a craft... and then that could process it <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> It could be taken to a waste planet or something... dump it on Mars <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I did that when I started Eclipse. Too bad, really, I wasted all that time -- only 2 miniscule areas from the original layout remain. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--><!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
    lol kfs, but eclipse is everyone's favorite map, so it's ok <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Thanks for all the feedback. The map is in a redesign stage at the moment. Today I totally ripped up that marine spawn, gutted all the unnecessary bits, and put it back together, and it has improved the performance by around 50% in that area.

    Some parts of the map have been scrapped for now due to r_speed problems, but I will probably salvage them gut them too. If they don't come back, don't worry, the new parts will still be of the same standard as the old ones you've been giving all this feedback about.

    Keep telling me things that you'd like to see in this map.

    I could probably get a beta together at some point, but it wouldn't be playable as a team vs game since

    A) MvM hasn't yet been implemented into NS
    B) I won't have the entire thing done yet

    But you could by all means take a wander around the level. Shouldn't be that long.

    Reply with things you'd like to see in the map.

    (Yey! I just reached 200 posts... I am now a Minion <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->)

    It looks like a very nice map but why would any human want to battle over a big trashcan? It would seem more realistic if there was aliens in it since they could have formed from the waste the ship was carring.

    Sci-Fi is your friend. You can imagine any kind of storyline...

    Why not?

    Heh yeah but still battling over waste lol. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> But still it looks like its going to be a great map I just hope you have a storyline to go with it that makes sense.
  • SamRSamR Join Date: 2002-09-30 Member: 1382Members
    There are loads of storylines that I could make fit it... I ought to wait till Flayra and his NS possy come up with a storyline for what the other Marine team will be, like Space Pirates or something, and then use that.

    It's not a waste can! It's a multimillion pound/dollar spaceship!

    Ok, I have been working on this level for the last 3 days, gutted it a bit, moved everything round, got a nice layout going on now. Several sections of the map are in experimental layouts to encourage diverse altercations between the 2 enemies.

    Another point, the map is Alien Vs Marine gameplay, since whenever I email Flayra questioning him on the mythical MvM play, all I get is:

    "we're still hoping to include it in NS"

    Ho hum. Trouble is, many of the corridors are not ONOS friendly, so there will many parts of the map that the Onos cannot go, but I'm working on that.

    screenshots coming very soon, older screenshots on this thread may have changed slightly
