<div class="IPBDescription">is this possible?</div> Started a game on the H20 server..... it was 8 marines V 7 aliens, we as aliens kept one gorg, had him getting res, he was using the health spray thingy on us, so that sped it up a bit, but that's just the start of the scene.

after he placed 2 res, he started off to start the fusion hive.... (the one outside waste, and the one in cargo).... is it at ALL possible for the marines to get jetpacks, hmg's and outfit half the team BEFORE we start the second hive?

i mean, i'de like to know if it is at ALL possible before i start calling out the cheaters.

...is it even possible without cheats?

    Its possible since the marines can get resource towers and stuff alot quicker that one gorge.

    Yes, but i dont think you'll see them with an obs/PG or any turret factories anywhere with turrets.

    Yes, because there are NO cheats for resources and stuff. That's ALL handled server-side.

    I believe I was in that game. And yes there were no cheats involved. Our comm referred to it as a tech rush. We grabbed res, protected, and teched up. Then we were upon you.

    Were you taking out their nodes? Making them spend their points as you took out parts of thier base? That'd require a good four or five nodes at least to work that fast, but it's possible. Choke them and strangle them, it's not a strategy, its what you HAVE to do to prevent marines from owning you. You can't hang around protecting a few important areas, all areas that have nodes, hives and the marine spawn are important.
