This bit:

You have posted 2 times within 60 seconds. A spam block is now in effect on your account. You must wait at least 120 seconds before attempting to post again.

[That edit] <-- this one posted during the edit with the time limit on there, so edits seem to work but still get this message

And again a few seconds after that

[edit] a few seconds after that it shows the message but it doesn't stop me from editing or posting...

Alright just tested it it with creating a new thread withing the 60seconds time limit (2 posts per 60sec). It didn't allow me to create a new thread,so it's working as intended \o/

    Conclusion:

You can still edit your post as you wish and post in threads as well. But it will show you the red banner telling you there's a spam protection of 120seconds on your account alongside not updating your post (while it has been updated behind the scenes). Just go to the thread or refresh the page to see the update. Can be ignored for edits/posts, but not for thread creation, but who in their right mind, creates more threads than one or MAYBE 2 withing 60 seconds...

    Apart from mindless spambots

@Foxy and crew, experiment over :D

Not a fan of the 15min maximum edit time though... I've got some threads, where the OP might need updating from time to time...
