Hello, I really need your help. SO ive been playing my Subnautica save for 2 and a half weeks. And I pretty much completed the game, I just need to build a rocket. When I started playing the save. When It was like 50 minutes long, I was playing on high settings and I got pretty good 40 fps. BUT NOW.... On full low settings, TEXTURE QUALITY TO 1!!! from 4 to 1!!!!! and still. Its UNPLAYABLE! I can't play it. I can't finish the game with 4 fps on SUPER low settings. I really need a fix fast. The save is about 13 hours long now.

Take a look on the water surface in all areas where floaters should be. I had the same thing and the reason was that floaters multiplied into hundreds and all of them were on the surface killing my FPS everywhere. Clearing cache helped restore them to their original position and numbers. Not saying it's your culprit for sure, but it's worth checking out.

To be honest the opening post is pretty useless.

What are your specs? What settings do you use?
Is the fps low always or on certain areas?

Right now you have absolutely nothing to compare.

AMD APU A10-5800k Quad core CPU

    Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 ti

The fps is higher in the mushroom forest. Sorry for not pointing that out the first time

Does renaming your SavedGame\slot00xx\CellsCache folder fix the issue?

I can play the game with every single graphics setting on max and get between 25-30 FPS with minimal “hiccups” in performance. Not that it adds anything to the conversation.

I have the same Problem with a 3960x / 1070 ti. Thanks for the hints - I'll try resetting the cache. Will everything else be reset, too?

All collectible resources in the world will be respawned, and doors will be re-locked. I think that's it.

I would be interested in some information, especially if mushroom forest presents no issues.
    That smells like bugs.

F1 menu > Perf menu > do the 'Collect Est. Call Stats' button.
    Than screenshots!

Yeah my framerate isn't that great either sometimes. In fact, i've noticed it gets worse the more i play. I've tried defragging my hard drive, uninstalling stuff i don't need, updating windows and everything else, deleting the game cache, restarting my PC, re-installing the game, downloading the latest drivers, but nothing worked. Not even the graphics settings from High to Low did anything. I even did what you did and messed with the Texture Quality setting, but that didn't do anything either.

    My specs:

    AMD FX-8350 Black Edition (Vishera)

    Zotac GTX 970

    Corsair Vengeance 8gb RAM

    Windows 10 Home 64-Bit

I was hoping the cache trick would work, but no. Have you tried any of the above?
