Maybe as a helmet and vehicle upgrade. Saves you from using predator-attracting lights, but takes batteries and is difficult to gauge details with because it's mostly black, green, and lense flares lol

I think I've suggested a similar thing before, but it's still a great idea. Also, maybe we could also get a helmet mounted light so we can see inside dark wrecks while using tools. I really don't like how many games force players to put away their flashlight to use a tool so you have to constantly switch back and forth.

yes having flashlight as a tool is a pita and unacceptable in 3rd millennium gaming.
i think every single one of you could use those tools while holding a flashlight, you have 2 hands and 10 fingers for a reason.
sticking a flashlight to the head, or a lantern-like-light to the chest is a must

I have to say no to night vision. It takes away from the atmosphere. And this game is built on its atmosphere. Also traditional nightvision would be nearly useless in murky water. (Real world)

    Now a headlamp? Yes please.

You don't have to use it if you don't want to. It would be a nice option for people who want it.

There's already sonar? I wouldn't mind some kind of enhanced HUD functionality, though. Maybe filters for heat, radiation, etc. Could be a rather spendy piece for your head slot, or just an upgrade chip slot.

Instead of night vision, a heat sensor might be more effective, SickSix

Or maybe just some player-worn HUD chip which behaves pretty much like the cyclops sonar upgrade which displays long-distance entities and terrain.

Yes according my assessment a heat sensor would be more effective than night vision.
