It's in Microsoft Cert, it'll hopefully pass soon, then they have to in house test it and if all goes well they'll release it!

I went off subnautica for ages and started again couple of months back and the addiction returned , so I'm mortified I can't feed my habit , PLEASE WE'RE DYING OUT HERE !!!!!!
The reason devs don't make any updates on this is because they have their work to do, which we all know what that work is.

Ok some good news for a change , I managed to save a second time after spending many hours the first time , the only thing I did different was to leave it paused for about 10 mins before saving whilst I went on my iPad for a bit , hopefully I can do it again

OMG I DID IT AGAIN !!!
I've managed to save three times now just by pausing it for about ten minutes before saving , the pic changed when I went to reload it e.g. Save the game facing the radio and the save game file shows you facing the chair instead also when you reload you may be facing a different way
You can tell it's worked coz the "saving" notification at the top stays a bit longer , its wise to try saving a second time just to see the difference

NEW THEORY THATS WORKING SO FAR
Press save where you are and it will do the usual quick save and nothing , then move to a different biome and it saves leaving the save notification on screen for about 5+ seconds , I then went back to another biome and it worked again ,
So save once in the biome that you are in that has your base then move to another biome and save then return to the biome with your base and save
Neither of the above methods work for me. I've spent 6 hours trying different variations, including new save games as a control.
I've tried moving literally from one biome adjacent, to the extreme of one end of the map to maximise distance. Save. Return to base and save again. Didnt work.
Moving, saving. Coming back, pausing 10 minutes and then saving. Nope.

I tried pausing up to half an hour at a time and it had no effect for me.

Performance improvements are always worth the wait, excited to try it out, will definitely let you know how well it's running once its released
Same problem can't wait for fix, otherwise beautiful game I like small details the hatch opening voice alerts working radars gone are games with looks like something but dosent do anything , always liked ocean exploration this would make hours of nothing feel like progress but when the save is fixed
It takes about 1-2 weeks for the MS cert process, so I imagine that sort of time frame plus however long it takes for Unknown Worlds to run their next test. So my guess would be mid October earliest?

Not only does my game not save. I reinstalled it and now it's in a different language. I looked for a way to change it and followed everyone's screen shots but when I go into options the language change option is not there. How the hell am I supposed to change language and when will it save correctly?

Off work sick today so I turned on my Xbox for a bit of self wallowing and saw subnautica updating , I jumped with joy thinking I could spend my sick day on subnautica
Then i was gutted to realise it was the cuddle fish thing , why why why update this first ? Waaaaaaahhhhhh !

They added some code to try and find the bug, so play anyways, hopefully you'll help them find the issue.
How long does it usually take for Microsoft to test games ?, surely all the need to do is make sure it saves since they passed the last update as it was .

E.g. Saving twice in a row the second one's notification goes off far quicker
That worked fine for me , yeah I left it paused for roughly 5-10 mins and it saved fine , I'm gonna go and test it again and I'll post my findings
