Game using all 8GB of my RAM

I've run out of memory several times now leading to a crashed game. My process explorer shows a history of high system commit and physical memory (sometimes maxing out at my 8GB physical mark). Below are specs you requested in the sticky.

Are you on the Stable build or Experimental (and if so, which build#)?

    Steam says Build 191302
    In-game says 50032

I'm not sure if it's Stable or Experimental.

#50032 is Stable. Experimental is up to #50597. (You have to opt-in for Experimental.)

That said, using all 8 gigs of RAM is troubling behavior...

Any thoughts from others more computer savvy than I?

What graphical settings are you running at?

Everything is set to high. My card is a GTX 760 and I get smooth 40-60fps with a SSD. The only drops are when loading new areas and generating distant LOD.

This might be the problem. High settings requires a 4GB+ GPU, yours is 2GB. You likely need to run the game at low or recommended settings to reduce the texture memory load on your system.

Thanks for the info about the game running better with a graphics card that has more memory. In a couple of years when you release the stable release version, I'll use this to justify buying the biggest and baddest graphics card with the most memory I can afford at the time! In a couple of years, who knows, maybe we'll have 32 Gig memory graphics cards at the $300 to $500 price point. :-)
