Remove/improve lerk flying sound

The sound which the lerk makes while flying is ridiculously annoying!
How can you expect people to put up with that noise for long periods of play?
Even with silence the player can still hear the awful noise, 12 hours later and i can still hear it now.
TLDR: I played lerk for a hour last night and now i have tinnitus .

I can only recommend to listen to some music while playing Lerk.
