Natural Selection 2 Build 239 has been released. It is a hotfix build for a nasty little bug that slipped in 238 last night!

    Also even though the device is already selected by default, my mic won't work til I "visit" the sound tab in options each time I start the game. Don't even have to click anything, but until then, silence. Found out I was talking to myself ever since b238 until just now.

    239 came out just to fix aliens from double dipping into abilities. You could evolve as a skulk with adrenaline, camouflage, carapace then choose another life form and get celerity, regeneration, silence and still keep the previous abilities in other words all 6.

    After upgrading NS2 would not launch, just hang and I had to kill it. Restarting my computer fixed that. I can't join any servers because no servers appear. It's getting "308" in the corner, but no servers to join. Every time i quit the game steam complains that sync is broken. What happened?

    239 did NOT just fix the alien exploit. It also HUGELY fixed the performance issues from last night. Well done dev team :)

    I see where my servers went... I had the default max ping setting. Didn't realize every single server has over 500 ping in the browser which was filtering them out.

    Do a force recheck of your files, also not all servers have b239 yet I assume.

    Any more input on the performance issue? Is it fixed yet?
    I checked yesterday and my fps too had dropped from +-80 a few builds ago to +-60. can't tell if it was build 337 or 338 that caused the drop though.

    I checked yesterday and my fps too had dropped from +-80 to +-60 a few builds ago. can't tell if it was build 337 or 338 that caused the drop though.

    The good news is the huge problems from 238 are reversed. But the performance problems from 236 are still there but since they're not a big impact as 238 I doubt it will ever be addressed. The last perfect build for me was 235.

    Got a noticeable performance increase from this build (not just in comparison to the last one). Also, my pistol seems to fire without jamming now (i.e. I can rapidly click without the pistol skipping up to half the shots), which has helped my survivability a lot.

    No health circle for marine tech, when as com, cant tell what damage level tech has.
    No killing other team in pre game start up, was fun to run across map and try get pre game kill.

    Better than marines spawn camping aliens so no one hops in the hive (or vice versa). Requiring someone to get in the comm chair/hive before the map begins helps pub play.

    Custom maps seem to be broken, we tried playing on jambi twice today and aliens and marines couldn't damage eachother or structures. (There was also no t.res being spent despite structures being dropped by comms)

    I'll post this in a seperate thread. Maybe it's just a map issue?

    asap as both teams got a com, the game will start.
