Server Side Demo Recording

Is there or will there be any way to have the server record spectator demos? For example like what hltv or sourct tv does in that the server not individual players is able to record a demo?

This is very useful for recording matches, archiving exactly what occurred so everyone can go to the one file and compare. Also useful for server side logging and has far more uses and value than just the demo recorded by a player.

    server-side recording would be simply amazing. especially if the game is going to get anywhere competitively, you can't reasonably ask every person to record their own POV (there is the lacking 'record' command still) with the game's current demands, and it leaves so much more freedom for video editors, people who want to learn, etc. to work with.

    Quakeworld does it in a manner that automatically records each game and uploads them automatically, you can actually download it directly through the client. it's quite awesome, I'd love to see the same in NS2.
