<div class="IPBDescription">My favorite feature yet to be added...</div>My favorite feature from games like counter strike and goldeneye 64, was that bullet hole decals, blood splatter decals, and grenade craters....

Will this be added to the game?

Probably, there is a decal system (Gorge spit or example). But it is not a high priority kind of thing ;)

Would be cool but lets get the high priority stuff first

I also hope to see transparency soon. The alien models look so good with it.

Curious if the exo suit bullet holes would be the same size as assault rifle bullet holes.

I don't think there is a proper decal system yet is there?

In the map editor, can you pop .pngs over the top of other textures? So for instance, placing text over textures or blood marks/wear marks to just add that extra level of detail?!

The maps look really impressive, but i'd love to see them with that extra level of detail. I think that is something that really brings it to life.

They should be huge holes the size of an apple

Yes, there are still plans for bulletholes, blood splatters, burn marks, etc. but we still need a proper decal system in place, which hinges on a larger overall rendering system rework, which is one of many many tasks on Max's plate right now. We should have something by 1.0

Well thats good news. I wouldn't be really bothered if it was post 1.0 as the game is fine with out them but it would just be nice to see in the future. Thanks for the info cory

Please make the bullet holes easy to notice from a distance. This is very important visual feedback to aiming that is often overlooked in modern games. With all the dark metal walls in ns2, sparks might be a good idea to include. The same goes with blood splatter; easily seeing how many pellets/bullets landed on a lifeform in ns1 was very helpful information to have. Naturally you want avoid blood splatter from blocking view also.

if they add decals to guns I hope there is an option for disabling them, it's just another element that you don't tend to look at that reduces framerate heavily in some cases.

There will be an option to disable them whenever they're in. Would be more surprising if there wasn't an option.

After consulting an expert, I am here to confirm that Prears are a higher form of religious communication as yet unknown to the masses. Prear shamans have involved orange peels, olive oil, grass-scented candles, and a pinecone in their daily rituals to bring us these decals.

Many have been injured, all have been worth it.
