Search around. I'm sure something has written up a guide and posted it on here.

hmmm some general tips:

Spike attacks and annoyonce: oaky spike attack does 16 damage. weak but you keep shooting at a good rate of fire and does'nt waste much ernegy unless ya keep doing it. Alwyas use spike atack unless your in melee range of a marine. that's when you switch to bite and does some chomping. ALWAYs try to harass or annoy marines. remember: weak marines are soemtimes worser than dead mariens becuase of nagging of medpacks.

Bite: well just use it to attack marines in melee range or attacking buildings.

UMBRA!: Use this all the time when being attacked or attackig marines.ALSO USE UMBRA TO COVER FADES and other fellow alien players. Umbra slows down bullets, making alien buildings and players raerly getiting hit. but remeber ubmra doesn't Stop bullets so don't stand still for long!

SPORES!: ahhh a great weapon! Kills mariens and forces them to get to other places of the area. It quite good but wastes energy (umbra wastes energgy too) But with lvl 3 andreline then you can go on and on and on.

Use spores for attacking!

ALways use umbra for cover and help!

and use spikes!

'single lurk seeks lasting relationship with fade or fades, a gorge friend would be nice aswell, I'm sure we'd be very happy together'

Jokes aside, umbra for your friends if your organized THIS IS DEADLY, whole impregnable 'forrest 'o turrets' fall down as my lurk friend flys in and umbras then flys off while I leg it past the distracted turrets and mash up the TF with my fade.

Large groups of marines will have absolutly no noticable effect on a group with 2 fades 1 lurk and a gorge to heal (everyone has carapice except the gorge who has heal)

as for flying tips, practice lots.

umbra proves very useful, I was a marine at base being raped as every class of the aliens eating us...everything was green, shaking, much agonizing destruction, anyways everytime I spawned before they destroyed the spawn thing I noticed my life points just going down gradually for some reason..and then I notice green clouds.. ..death

Umbra = the orange 2-hive cloud that partially stops bullets in an area

Spores = the green 3-hive cloud that you were talking about. Yes, it's wonderful

key to being a good lerk, is too practice your flying, a good flying lerk is unstoppable, all i play is lerk and i can take out HA/HMG rines with only one hive, just gotta do guerilla like attacks and never stop moving

Make sure you get Adrenaline as lerk... I usually get Carpace as aswell, and some times regen if I am going to be on my own for awhile. The key to a lerk is never stop moving, that is your ticket to a long and satisfying life!!

Tips on Lerk:

#1 Find a fade.
#2 Keep him umbra'd.

#3 bite the marines that rush the fades, when the fades are too stupid to use swipe.

lerk is like the coolest alien out there, i stopped playing fade completely now that i fell in love with the little flying dude.
there's just so much he can do:

1. supporting fades
2. taking out unguarded sentries/tfs/gates
3. sniping marines
4. scouting

and, my favorite,

5. lerk close combat
fly above marines, alternating spikes and bites. it is very hard to hit a lerk zigzagging above you. if you practice this enough you can make a couple of swoops on the group of 4 marines and leave 2 guys dead and 2 begging for medpacks. talk about cost efficient.

Seems like the good tips are given already, let me pour in couple of more..my own tactics.

Use darkness.
Use the distance as your advantage.
Report any enemy movement or building operations you see to your team unless you cant take them out alone.

If you really want to be a pest, camp at their phase gate and with adrenaline upgrade you can spike almost everyone who comes to death, if they are light marines.

Help fades if they need assistance, use your own judgement though..they are powerfull beings and if they seem to be ok, do something else.

At the begin of the game, lerks can be excellent to keep marines at their base..or one of them constantly shooting, this *can* harm their building efforts if done all the time.

Staying alive tips:

1. You must get Adrenaline upgrade to keep your energy pumping in if your going to spike alot. Now you can choose regeneration(?) or carapace but remember the bulking sound..I would choose carapace.

2. When flying go as high as possible and shoot from above (draws attention). First rule of the close combat: dont use spikes, fly in and chomp!. Works if they are lightmarines, but againts HA its better to take distance and spike away.

3. Camp in darkness and hunt for your prey. You can learn neat divebombing routines and chomp their heads off

4. Heal yourself at DC or if you got the regen.

When taking down buildings, especially resource towers, try to keep an umbra on yourself in case some putz tries to shoot you from behind.

Be wary of going lerk too early. If you won't be a signifigant help to some cause wait. Why? Because those 33 recs you spent mean you are no longer full and thus that 1 point extra that was going to gorges is now going to you.

Your picture is wrong too =)
