0 servers showing

in NS2 General Discussion
When i attempt to play the game i show 0 servers up in the browser and hence can not join any.

Is this a bug i am only experiencing or are ALL of the servers actually down right now. (The current time is 11:17am EST) and if this bug is specific to me how may i go about fixing it?

    Yeah, this is odd. I can't see anything either - though according to the dev stalker servers are up.

    Could be a steam issue?

    I have the same problem. Does someone know the console command to join a server? And some IPs from popular European servers, like heidies ziegenfarm?

    I had this problem before and that fixed it for me too. But now it is dead and restart does not help. I can't even connect to a server via console.

    Steam's HL2 Master-servers are down, hardly a bug. It'll resolve itself in due time (hour(s) usually).

    I had this happen, then shut down NS2 and started up again to fix it. Not sure the cause.

    I've had this before. It seems to never occur if I wait to get the "steam community" popup before I go into the server browser. So, wait a few seconds after you start the game before going in there and see if it happens.

    One solution to this problem which crops up from time to time is to create a lan game. This usually gets the server browser working again.

    So the steps as I see them to fix this issue if it pops up are (in order of trying)
    1. Check if steamfriends are down or whether you can connect to servers in a source game (means Steam's Master Server is down and that you are basically screwed until they fix it)
    2. Hit refresh and just wait several minutes (sometimes it takes a while to work)
    3. Restart NS2
    4. Restart Steam
    5. Restart computer
    6. Create a local server (by clicking Create from the main menu), then try refreshing the list
    7. Find the IP of a server with people on it from the list <a href="http://www.play4dead.com/ns2/" target="_blank">here</a> (click on the orange text at the top) and connect manually via the console (accessed by hitting tilde "~") and typing
    connect serverIP

    The last resort if none of these works is to post a thread with the following info:
    - Whether you've been able to run NS2/connect to servers in the past (or the last patch that you could do these things)
    - You computer specs, router, and modem
