Alpha needs a new name

So much rage is created by misunderstandings surrounding the word and usage of 'Alpha'.

What new titles would help people get it? I also suggest putting a watermark in game to inform people the current build is not representative of the final version.

NS2 Laggy Version 1.0?
NS2 The Broken Box?
NS2 Episode Lag?
NS2 Work In Progress Humpty Dumpty etc etc 1.0?

    The OP has a very valid point and the "unknown community" need no help in looking bad. Page after page of nerd-rage and "how does my key work", and "i paid for this!?"

    How about, "NS2 ALPHA" because that's what it is. I'd like to say this on behalf of UWE and the community... Shut the ###### up and be glad you even got this much right now.

    Sorry if that seemed a little angsty, but I care very much for the dev team and Natural Selection and will defend both UWE and the "community" (at this point, it's not you,) to the death.

    When a simple light hearted thread is met with "shut the ###### up" and "you make the community look bad" that really supports the thread idea which was actually not - shock horror - serious.

    If we could have our ages (specifically reading ages) listed below our usernames that would help us know what kind of language can be used safely in these forums.

    I know, I got a little carried away. I apologise if it was a lighthearted intent, I just care so deeply for this game and for it to get attacked in seriousness already just blows my mind.

    NS2: Flying Lerks and Falling Onos

    There is a lot of people who actually come on here to ###### and whinge about the state of the game which is completely unwarranted.
    thus a "light-hearted" attempt like yours can easily be mis-read as another QQer whinging they cant play the full game yet.
    i kinda get where you're coming from, but most threads have two crowds posting in them

    Crowd 1: The die hard "dont say anything bad or ill flame you" group (of which i consider myself more likely to be in)
    Crowd 2: The die hard "this game sucks ###### and im going to whine and flame anyone that thinks this game is worth the money" group.

    Bearing those 2 in mind can help to see why your OP got such a reaction when tone cant be set through text.
