So will it include a way to actually run the LUA code and see what effect it has, or are we just getting the API?

Just set your lights and spot lights to false, it's not difficult.

Thank you Max! As a mapper my self, I believe it's a lighting issue. I've added over 1,000 props into a single map, and no problem. The second I add lights, it starts going downhill from there. Also, could you also look into this following problem please?

Add a light, colored at pure white, edit the color to any other color, hit ctrl-z to undo, and it changes to another color such as a rough pinkish purple. It might just be me.

Actually Ray that's because each of the color values changing, R, G, and B, are recorded as a separate step in the undo history. You just have to undo a couple more times before they're all back to 255.

That's what I thought at first, but I've only changed the color once, and it would still happen.

What will our limits be as far as showing off the engine to those that can't play it?

Ditto. =( I must have pre-ordered the SE a few hours from the opening of the NS2 pre-order page and I haven't received any engine test info. =(

You're not under NDA, so far.

Sweet mother of pearl, they do read the forums and listen to my occasional comments :D Can't wait to play around with LUA inside the engine environment.

I'm not sure NDA is in UWE's vocabulary. They seem to be one of the most pornographic developers, in terms of reveals, ever! ;)

Besides, I'm not really an expert at these things, but isn't putting an NDA on something that's sold (as in, you can get in the alpha just by paying, and not by being a journalist or critic) somewhat counter-intuitive? And nearly impossible? (Because an NDA only works because you will not disclose info only because you are getting a service you can't easily get)
