Can't Host/Port Forward

Well, you know, another one of those annoying pleas for tech support.

The router is a D-Link Dir-100, has a colourful GUI for port forwarding and stuff like that, except any attempt to use it results in... This. No error message, no leads, Google knows nothing, manual is useless.

So, on the rare off-chance that someone ran into something like this before... Help? Maybe I'll host an NS server in return or something.

Try updating the firmware, first of all. If you're connecting via wireless, plug in with some copper. Try a hardware reset (assuming you have your account details handy). See if the telnet/ssh interface is halfway usable. If so, use it.

Just to be sure: I presume it's asking you for the outside port, inside port and inside IP? The two ports should be the same and the IP is the private network IP (10.0.0.x, 192.168.1.x usually) of the box doing the hosting.

It's on auto-update (checker says latest version), the router is wired, hardware, connection, IP reset, etc. do nothing.

I have positively no idea how to work with telnet. Is it comprehendable enough to look into?..

EDIT: Just checked, one of drop-downs concerning firmware updates throws out "Unable to connect with the server for firmware information." The manual check says it's the latest version though, and it looks like it is.

It doesn't seem to do anything with the input at all, regardless of what it is.

Here's how the thing looks in more detail (on slightly older firmware, but it's still similar).

    Oh and, thank you.

if you have a firmware file handy you can try a crash reset detailed here:

Thank you. However, I'd really rather not erase any potentially vital settings, as my ISP isn't exactly top of the line in tech support department.

Assuming my memory allows me to, I certainly will.
