Main page server refresh not working

<div class="IPBDescription">Yet I can still join</div>Hi,

I just installed NS on my new 64 bit windows 7 computer. It is an upgrade from vista, in which everything worked fine.

Now, I can't seem to get the list of servers to update. Clicking on the "find servers" button on the main page of NS brings me to the Servers window. The internet tab attempts to refresh but nothing ever shows up.

I have tried disabling my anti-spyware, firewall and antivirus (windows firewall and windows security essentials) with no success.

However, I can still connect through joining my friends servers in the freidns tab or joining the server ip.

Any help please?

    Strangely, same here. It's only been happening recently too. I'm running Windows XP. It worked not a week or two ago.

    First off, this a NS specific issue or is it happening with other mods?

    probably isn't related to this particular problem, but I'm running xp and since a long time the serverbrowser of both goldsrc and source games (steam server browser) is annoying me. Servers won't show up, and if they do, only a few. SOMETIMES when it's working properly, next refresh the list is probably fcked up again... I don't understand why the serverbrowser doesn't want to work properly, but it doesn't...

    Well I guess this post didn't matter but just letting of steam about steam :O

    Same issue here, no servers are showing up on the list. Have tried filters/no filters. Nothing.

    same problem, win7 x64

    BUT THERES A WORK AROUND! :D

    use the steam server browser, NOT the one from within ns (even though they should be the same). you can still view and connect to ns servers from outside of ns. i dont like doing it this way either, but at least now im able to get my lerk fix in :P

    I am using Windows 7 64bit and don't have the issue, the issue is the master list, go to Steam/Config and open MasterServers.vdf in notepad, then paste this into it and save it.

    <!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->"MasterServers"
    {
        "hl1"
        {
            "0"
            {
                "addr"        "69.28.151.162:27013"
            }
        }
        "hl2"
        {
            "0"
            {
                "addr"        "72.165.61.136:27014"
            }
            "1"
            {
                "addr"        "72.165.61.151:27014"
            }
        }
        "rdkf"
        {
            "0"
            {
                "addr"        "67.132.200.140:27012"
            }
        }
    }<!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->

    That fixes it.

    After reinstalling Natural selection, before I ran the game I viewed the "Servers" page in steam. Then the in-game server list worked again.
