can hear stuff but can't see anything

<div class="IPBDescription">"Display does not support downloadable gam"</div>Guys!

Just downloaded HL and NS but when i join a server i can hear stuff and do stuff like shoot but the screen is black. There's also this msg that flahes across - "Display does not support downloadable gam" please advise thanks!

Check your video settings to be in OpenGL.

Also you'll need to open the console ('~' key) and type "cl_gammaramp 0". Once that is done you'll likely need to crank up the gamma/brightness in-game and/or on your video card.
