AFAIK, Constellation only applied to NS1. NS2, being a paid-for product, doesn't need a donation system. The pre-order bonus is the next best thing.
We consties will be relics of NS1 history.
Since instead of donating to a free mod (as NS1 was!) you're paying for a retail product effectively and it already has special features to it!
Support independent devs early and often and no need to worry about this =)
Wanting Constellation for preordering the NS2 special is sorta like saying that it isn't enough that is already there and you want more. ;)
Only thing I want (as someone in another thread said also) is a gorge plushie.
Or a concrete Gorge like one of those concrete geese. That I could dress up.

Does your Constellation icon appear beside your name while playing NS? If so then you'll probably need to add the steam ID to your profile page for it to show up in the forums.
And for that he'd need a UWE constellation account, judging by his forum profile I'm going to guess if it were that easy he wouldn't have posted what he did.
It's really not the end of the world, I know I supported NS1, and that's fine by me. Plus I bought Special Edition, so there's some extra support.
i only remember the medals for vets, a skulk for playtesters, and jetpack as special icons.

Because SE is basically the same thing. Consties get the icon, NS2 SE gets the black armor.
Or more often than not, a big flashing sign that said 'prepare to ban me! I'm retarded!'. Then he'd start calling his commander a *** noob and run off to spawncamp the hive.
And then they made these people <i>playtesters</i>. No wonder NS 3.0 was so horrible.
Besides, a lot of these "vets" were not really veterans, as all you had to do was to join a clan to get that icon, so of course you had some retards who show up.
No idea on which servers you played on but i didn't see a lot of these people until 3.0~

of course I wasn t up to par to their skill level, but it really doesn t encourage to play to get better when most of the good players are more or less abusive ######s
unfortunately it seems NS and its high skill ceiling kinda attracts these jerks

Bump! Any chance this has been looked at yet? I've pre-ordered the Special Edition, but is there more I can do to help out? I'm sure others wouldn't mind donating to constellation who haven't already.

This was for NS1 not for NS2, and not every people have that much money they can spend everything...
