Hive + Command Chair Suggestion

Allow Marines and the Kharaa to build more Command Chairs/Hives than is required for the tech tree.

Example/Facts:

6 Tech Nodes on the map.

1) Aliens could build 5 extra Hives, but there it is only beneficial after the 2nd extra Hive. This is because they would have the 3 required Hives already for MAX Tech Tree.

2) Marines can do the same thing, but instead with Command Chairs on the Tech Nodes.

3) Allow a Hive to be built even when a Command Chair is on a Tech Node.

4) Allow a Command Chair to be built on a Tech Node with a Hive already in place, as long as the Tech Node has not been covered by Dynamic Infestation.

*EDIT*

5) Allow as many Command Chairs to be built as there are available Tech Nodes on the map.


There, games would be balanced and quite interesting.

    The 4th point cleary shows this, is everyone a braindead zombie when they read? Anyways I made a 5th point to make it more clear.

    Of course the Marines could put extra Command Chairs on Tech nodes they do not need, sense this also "fuels" their power grid.

    Don't see why people seem so against this idea (with no explanation). It would allow the Aliens to overcome and surround the Marines if they play too passively.

    An Alien version of Hive Lockdown basically, or in this case, Command Chair Lockdown.

    *NOTE*

    I go with the premise that once all Command Chairs/Hives and Infantry Portals/Eggs are destroyed, and all players are dead, that team loses.

    I think this is a good idea because it would allow the game to be like a giant tug-o-war. With each team constantly pushing forward and being driven back with their hives/chairs.
