    The part where it says that the entry is written by the soldier also screams soldier. Nothing conclusive though.

    I beg to differ. I'm pretty damn sure that I never heard her say "the bomb has almost reached the final terminus, A-HAAAAAHAHAHAHA!" before the release of Goldrush.

    But I agree with you, a soldier update is still pure speculation. Then again, 33% aren't that terrible odds. Especially if you don't have any money riding on it.

    Well, to add a bit to zhe crossword:

    22-down is most likely Hartman, the name of the sergeant from <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093058/" target="_blank">Full Metal Jacket</a>.

    I think 8-Down might be 'Gold Rush'.

    Nah, 50-50. Demo engineer should be released together like spy/sniper. And I'd say more like 75-25 since they're putting out soldier media(think April Fool's Sniper).

    The only way it can <i>not</i> be Soldier after that kind of hint is if Valve goes and says "lol we tricked you!" and do something completely different... which they might. But I will not be amused if they do.

Let me make this clear for a second time: Valve has not hinted that the Soldier is next, or if they have, they have done it inadvertently and it is pure coincidence.

    Like Align noted, it's not a soldier theme crossword. But let's imagine that it is. One day, Valve hears about a fan-made crossword puzzle for TF2. It's well made and they want to feature it on their blog. But, uh oh, it turns out it's Spy themed! What do they do? They're screwed, because the next update is the Soldier! What you're telling me is that they featured this fan-made crossword specifically because the Soldier is coming next, even though they had no control over the crossword and had decided on what class is next before it was even made? Doesn't it seem more likely that, even if the Soldier is next, that is just a coincidence and they would have posted aobut the crossword puzzle either way?
