3.4 seems weird. p15 works great for me, but 3.4 finds a leak that p15 doesn't. <i>Maybe</i> my geometry isn't the best. I don't know. I spent a fair bit of time making sure everything was tight in the problem area, started using hlfix, replaced a couple of brushes, made the leak disappear only to have it reappear later in the same spot and fix it by simply replacing that brush again but later have it "corrupt" <i>again</i>... nah... I went back and now I'm sticking with p15 since that problem hasn't appeared at all and that's using hammers .map exporter too. Whenever I start a new map from scratch, I'll consider switching, but in the meantime, what ain't broke ain't getting fixed. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />

I made a thing for my friend because he wanted to start mapping. It's like a mirror for ns files and a guide to setting it all up. I could also mirror particle edit and sprite explorer 212. hmm.

    <a href="http://www.rapiduk.com/sys/hammer/" target="_blank">Guide</a> and <a href="http://www.rapiduk.com/sys/hammer/files.html" target="_blank">Files</a>

Now you can criticise every facet of it. Enjoy!

Are there any more reports about the newest compile tools?
I'm wondering what ppl are using these days, because I'm still using p13.
I've just tried p15 mainly for the increased -maxnodesize and noticed that something is really messed up with this version, because the cut and leaf placement is so stupid that it increased my average wpolies by almost 100 at some spots. Maybe it is related to the plane removal included into hlbsp or to the higher -maxnodesize.

Anyway, I'll stick to p13, since it runs perfectly fine. I'm just curious about the hlrad performance improvement of these new zhlt tools. I'm not really convinced; can anyone confirm this:
"Faster RAD code by Nem, which improves RAD complie times by about 15-27%"

Not sure if the P15 release of Cagey is still around... Zhlt3.4 is the latest version anyways, I used them as well for final compile...
