I know I posted this in one of the main chats but I figured I'd post it here so it can be discussed.

How about when an egg is attacked it shoots out gas causing the marine to suffer damage. The gas heals the egg so it's not impossible to kill it but it does make it a little harder to down people hatching?

What do you guys think?

    How does the logic suck? People are morphing into life forms in the middle of their base and getting shot to hell by a jetpacking shotgunner. Blam 75 resources lost for morphing on the top of your hive. Gameplay wise just bad? How would you know?

    If you're going post a comment please tell me why you think it's a bad idea. bad logic and horrible game play is not a response.

    1. they <b>shoot</b> at it. no need to hug it. gas wont reach them.
    2. it wont change anything. med spam ftw.
    3. there are better options to solve this problem

    Logic, is...like if in real life, meaning, back story, why would they build this, if they had this uber thing, that's a basic idea of logic. How would the egg emit the gas.

    Dark is right, meds will over heal the marines, marines are a RANGED team also, how will it reach? Cover entire room?

    Alright so the logic does kind of suck but it's alien life forms right? You can stretch the logic when dealing with unusual lifeforms.

    No good mate, if you morph inside your hive while under seige, you take the risk, its just as easy to find a vent, escape and morph in a nice dark corner and surprise them from behind
