so anyone know why 4 times out of 5, youtube videos don't play in firefox? they freeze after the first 2 seconds. I'm sure most people will say it's just me, but from googling around, it's not just me at all, and yet I haven't read a good solution yet. most ppl say to reinstall flash, which did nothing for me <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" /> I hate having to switch to IE to read this thread.

The weird thing is, it comes randomly. I can go a whole day without it sometimes and at other times it happens within the first couple of videos =o Only thing that fixes it for me is a restart.

As far as I can tell. The youtube firefox thing only happens after you've watched a crap-ton of embedded videos. Page 2 (or possibly 3, the page where I posted like 8 videos at once) of this thread usually sets it off for me.

I don't know if you're using FF3, but I am and I am very disappointed with it. It's extremely buggy... and the theme I like makes the scroll bar disappear. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
Anyways, when I get that problem I just restart firefox and it fixes it.

I'm pretty sure this is part of his solo projects, and given the rapping in the middle I'd bet it's pretty new but with retro styling.

Generally speaking I can make the problem go away for the video in question by exiting all firefox windows and then going back.
I rarely have this problem though.
