Looking for Devout NS Players and Modders

<div class="IPBDescription">Do you wanna be part of a NS pack project? Come hither.</div>Hey guys, it's been a while since I have been on Unknown Worlds forums, but I never leave a day without playing my favorite game Natural Selection!

My name is DiamonD. I am the development leader of Meteor Graphics, with the motive of updating NS 3.2's models, textures, sprites, sounds, and well, basically everything. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

For the last 3 months, I had a team cook up some custom content for NS. I had the vision of a complete facelift of the original NS game for Gold Source. My team had been busy for the last few months, but have been really idle.

And so I come here to recruit some devout NS players and modders to join my development team. If you have particular interest in working for a NS pack, give me a ring in my email:

    I love NS, and I've made a few high poly models. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to start a project like this. You're welcome to use the stuff I've made though, or to use the models as a base to start modifying from. If you find the interested people, both models should probably be retextured before you release them.

    Sounds cool.

    As dedicated as I am, I have almost zero skills in modeling and texturing. I simply try to use them in maps, but then again my maps are pretty fail at that. =]

    I guess I can help test.... and give moral support.

    Make sure you clear all this with UWE.

    I'm sure if they have a problem they'll step in. There have been a few model packs over the years so I doubt they'll mind this one.

    Ah, hello there SnappyCrunch! I am familiar with your hi-poly models, one of my skinners actually did a reskin of your IP. Your work is very good! I'm sorry to hear that you don't have time to work on a project like this, I would be honored if you'd help me with a few more Marine structures. If you do happen to get some time on your hands, give me a ring in my email anytime. The project won't be done anytime soon, since alot of my former team members led astray.

    All the modders left this place a long, long time ago. I think I can just about UV map some stuff for you if you fancy, I need to brush up on my skillz!

    hmm... looks interresting, but i suggest you guys should go the open source way.. just port ns over to source gold with no improvements yet, just the playable game, post a download link,and enable modellers and texture artists to create their own high detail replacements for the old models and textures ,replacing one model / texture / sound after another in this open developing platform, if there are several developers doing the same thing you pick the one more fitting into the ns theme,but like the past has already shown peoples of this board can nicely coordinate their work, maybe make a list of which content creator already does this or that, open some polls where you can ask if something should make it into the final pack. we already had some nice independent joint ventures in the past resulting in some nice replacements.

    NS for the source engine



    port over to source gold? Is that anything like the goldsource engine NS1 currently runs on?
