I'm pretty sure I can trust you, but I'm not HIV positive.

This kinda reminds me of those werewolf/monster sites where you'd 'eat' or 'infect' people and stuff by getting them to click on links to your site. Boy were those fun... not ¬.¬

So now you have AIDS and HEP C!

    Joke's on you.

Edit: But that really got me thinking. I need to protect myself better while serving on the internet:

Wait, this has been here since yesterday? Our moderators are usually faster about removing links to referral games. Guess it's due to the holidays, give it a little while.

Okay, consciousness-raising, yeah I get that, but what's the point of the tracker? It's not as if clicking a link is analogous to sex, so it's not actually counting anything significant.

And "observe the global consequences"? Probably not, though, eh? I mean, those places most stricken by AIDS aren't exactly likely to come across this site, what with having no internet or computers.

I know in what continent HIV started, but I'm not gonna tell because that would be morally incorrect.

Are you implying, that the first HIV outbreak was in Korea?
    That sounds awfully off.

If everyone got HIV we would find a cure.
  • lolfighterlolfighter Snark, Dire Join Date: 2003-04-20 Member: 15693Members
Cures are a horrible idea. You sell a man a pill, he swallows it and is cured. Customer satisfaction is good and fine, but that man has now ceased to be a customer, and is therefore not adding value to your company. It is far better to sell him a drug that merely suppresses the disease if taken regularly. In this fashion, he remains a customer, providing your company with a steady flow of revenue. Furthermore, he remains a potential infector, and may therefore through his sexual life transform worthless non-customers into revenue-generating customers, thus further increasing revenue flow and giving their life meaning.

True, but instead of being an immoral prick, you could just kidnap their family and then press for a ransom.
  • lolfighterlolfighter Snark, Dire Join Date: 2003-04-20 Member: 15693Members
The beauty of my method is that it is completely legal. Sure, I need to have the odd medical genius assassinated because he comes up with an actual cure, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. After all, I serve a higher goal.
  • GwahirGwahir Join Date: 2002-04-24 Member: 513Members, Constellation
Ah, but that leads to possible imprisonment and takes too much time and effort on a per kidnap basis. Suppression drugs can be mass produced.

And then you go out of business because another company just sells the cure.

All the PR HIV is getting is good, but it's worth noting you've "only" got a 1% chance of contracting HIV from having unprotected sex with a HIV positive person.

    Still- condom good; AIDS bad.

I think the WHO are considering offering circumcision to all newborn African children as it's a surpisingly effective way to prevent contracting an STI.

Random fact- did you know breast feeding is 99% effective at preventing pregnancy? I kid you not.

Unless it is suddenly revealed that that company is using child labour. Of course, the company will claim that they're being smeared, but they won't be able to prove it.
