If you've got a desktop/headset microphone and 5 minutes of free time then you may be able to do me a massive favour!

I'm looking for volunteers to record a short statement on a topic I'm sure you're all familiar with - Violence in Video Games - for use in my documentary degree project.

What I need in brief is a .wav file of you stating:

"My name is XXXXXXXXXX, I'm XX years of age and have been playing video games since I was XX years old and I haven't killed anyone"

Plus any comments you might want to make about how the media represents video games and your opinion on the level of responsibilty that video games have for people commiting violent crimes.

If you are willing and able to do this for me then please send the file either to <b>p.pallister at googlemail dot com</b> or find me on IRC under the name of "Hodge"

If I use you I will of course credit you and send you a copy of the film once it's finished.

    Is there a time limit on this? I'll probably be able to do it today but not until late. Also what if you can't remember when you started playing video games? Is that an acceptable answer?

    What sort of length are you looking for here? A quick phrase? A sentence or two? A paragraph?

    What names are you after? Do you insist on real (or real-sounding) names, or are pseudonyms okay?

    A sentence or two is fine, you can make a short (1-2 minute) statement if you've got something you really want to say and I can pick the choicest phrases - nothing will be taken out of context but the films only going to be about 3 minutes long itself so I don't want to pack too much into it.

    If you don't want to use your real name then a plausible sounding pseudonym is fine by me or you can skip that bit completely and I'll just ue the age/played bit. You're the ones doing me a favour so I'm happy for you to go about it however you feel most comfortable. I just couldn't really use "Hi I'm lolfighter" ;D

Seriously, all this talk about 'murder trainers' is bull######! The first time I tried to kill my friend Kenney I totally missed him with my gold chrome Desert Eagle, and ended up putting some dumb n00b in the hospital instead of Kenney in a grave. The next time I tried going all ninja and ###### on him with my leet shuruiken but ended up cutting off my finger, wtf! I mean, it wouldn't have been so much of a problem if the stupid 'doctors' had just used a damn medpack on me, seriously, more n00bs! So yah, violent video games totally don't train you to do ######, so I gave them up and started watching Fox News instead!

    I prefer .wav because a) they're uncompressed so I get better quality and b) Final Cut Pro doesn't work with .mp3 so I gotta convert them to .wav or .aiff before I can use 'em anyway. But I'm happy to have anything!
