A LEAK is a hole in the map, where the inside of it is exposed to the

indication of where the beginning of the leak pointfile starts, so the
beginning of the line can be quickly found and traced to until reaching the
outside. Unless this entity is accidentally on the outside of the map, it
probably should not be deleted. Some complex rotating objects entities need
their origins outside the map. To deal with these, just enclose the origin
brush with a solid world brush

Looks like there is a leak (a hole to the outside 'void') in your map. I think that's what causing it.

Here's a tip: Click on 'Map' and then 'Load pointfile', if the file exists (it SHOULD make one if you have a leak) then follow the red line that appears leading to the hole in your map. It's how I solve leaks most of the time. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

Also, this article may help you: <a href="http://collective.valve-erc.com/index.php?doc=1037750093-52533100" target="_blank">http://collective.valve-erc.com/index.php?...750093-52533100</a>

    Ah the great leak annoyance of bsp tree engines <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

Well If you want to know how I find them leaks. I have basically 3 techniques:<ol type='1'><li> What ChuckstarNL posted (I'm not always succesfull with it), I do change the hammer 3dwindow background color to magenta (255 0 0) so I can see the void from inside the map (floating trough it in the 3d window)
</li><li> Compiling the level without vis and rad and going into the game in developer mode and also enabling + disabling dev_overview (type dev_overview 1 in the console and then type dev_overview 1 on the console)

If you've done this there will be a green backplane which can highlight a lot of potential cracks in you level. Basically (I play hl1 in a window) I walk around and keep alt+tabbing between hammer and hl to have a look at things that look odd in the compiled map to see what it looks like in the editor.

</li><li>You need Object Viewer for this. You compile the level without vis and rad and open the *.bsp in the Object Viewer. Now change the rendermode to solid or x-ray and have a look at potential leaks. I prefer x-ray because it gives me personally a better view of the brushes (again this is personal</li></ol>You can get Object Viewer here <a href="http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?p=30" target="_blank">clickey</a>, I see nem renamed it to BSP Viewer, its the same program though...

Hope this helps a bit, leaks are annoying as hell, especially the ones that are 1grid*1grid*1grid <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

Also how large are those textures?

    - Warning: Larger than expected texture (348972 bytes): 'PI_GROUND1'
    - Warning: Larger than expected texture (348972 bytes): 'ROTSGROND'
    - Warning: Larger than expected texture (348972 bytes): '{GATE'

I think you get that warning when you have textures of 512*512 or higher, HL1 can handle them though... Just make sure you don't use a lot of them at a scaled down size in a detailed area <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />

hehe, I got thousand of redlines on the 3 pics. Should I make a new block over the leak where the red line points? or what is a ''leak'' more exactly? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

Yep, I used block tools to use blocks around the walls. Now it just says Could not find Filesystem dll to load.

I copy the test in again and you may see. As you also said, I got some warnings. I used de_plaka wad files and there is 83 wad files in that one. What to do about that?

For one thing, there are no lights. HL1 does not have a fullbright option like Source does. For another thing...I see three warnings about textures, then "2 used textures (100% of map)"...<img src="http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/8666/35gt8.gif" border="0" class="linked-image" />
