It could use it's own thread though.

Or just turn this into a screenshots thread and keep the other one discussion.

Or make this thread the official In-before-the-lock-so-that-means-I'm-cool thread.

    I call screenshot thread.
    Also: good?

I, too, would like to see a few screenshots. My computer is a fossil, so I will have to play TF2 vicariously.

Meh, not really a game for me. I like games with strategic thinking like Forgotten Hope or NS1.04. This is way to blastyblastblast for my taste (which can be fun in it's own way ofcourse). with strategic thinking I mean more freedome of movement in maps, TF2 is just to cramped and closed in...

The graphics rock though and does add to the humor. But for me it's only fun for a while until the boredome gets me, or when FH has a slow night (small community and all <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" /> ), but other then that not really my kind of game...

However it does have it's moments and I like that screencap of your killer thing <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" /> It could very well be that I need to get used to it before I like it (is there such a thing?)

CBA to write out a new post so <a href="http://www.nuclear-dawn.net/forum/showpost.php?p=70413&postcount=59" target="_blank">here's</a> a link to some screens.

Here is one of them, though (notice anyone?)

I think we could also use this topic to describe some of our great TF2 moments.

I'll start with what has become a classic for me as a spy: run to a medic of the opposing team yelling for him, get some juicy heals, give him a "Thanks!" and stab him in the back.

I also like being disguised as the demoman. Who would suspect a Scottish black guy with one eye?

I played alll night long. so much fun. I have fun playing every class (except pyro. that guy's a bit weak. he really needs his incendiary rockets back).

this has to be the only game where I actually am good at sniping...

Did they take AIDS out of the game completely, or can you only heal an enemy if that enemy is a spy in disguise?
  • GwahirGwahir Join Date: 2002-04-24 Member: 513Members, Constellation
I had a great series of rounds today where I was in a HWG medic team as the HWG. We basically marched from one end of the level to the other, with much bloodshed. Rarely died.

I'm not sure if this picture was during one of those runs, but I like it. I call it quick revenge.

cool shot <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" /> and yes, there is no more AIDS. only healing. but the healing is much better/easier to do than it ever has been, so you don't miss the AIDS too much. only a little.

I played it this morning. It's still team fortress, and you all probably know whether you like it or not already. I had a pretty good time, but I don't know if I'll play it regularly.

Enjoying immensely. I'm having a fun time as pyro, flushing out spies with my flamethrower and chasing them down with my shottie. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

I dono why, but I have yet to run into a spy that was at all convincing, and I tend to end up DOMINATING all the spies on the other team.

Funny moment for me yesterday when I was medic and a scout came walking up to me asking me to heal him. I then asked the scout (by nickname) in question about his location trough voicecom. Guess what, it was not near me. So the spy in disguise died <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

Sneaky ######s that. Some nerve walking up to me with low HP and wanting a healbeam for some juicy hp. I hate spies when not playing spy. My opinion about the game has slightly shifted, since I actually am starting to like the game

To bad I can't pay tonight since my motherboard has died and the stores are closed <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

I don't think it is just like tfc. The removal and rebalancing of the classes has changed it into its own unique game and it has such a great art style which actually makes it more fun. Like focusing on the guy who last killed you and additions like nemesis.

I've seen some really dumb spies and I've had some really dumb teammates that haven't detected them.

I was in a game last night with a really intense battle in a cramped hallway corner. someone my team's color just comes waltzing out of their side of the hallway, and hides behind a rock for a few seconds, to take cover from all sorts of grenade and rocket spam. he then proceeds to just get up and walk into the crowd of my teammates and everyone ignores him. I had to stop my medicly healing duties and whip out my needlegun and poke him to death. I can't believe he almost got away with it. there were like 5 of my teammates in that cramped corner and I was the only one who noticed the suspicious behavior... he would have gotten like 5 backstabs right there =p

that's why I cloak, get into or near enemy territory, uncloak and act like I'm prepping to defend the area.

If someone shoots me, I don't even turn around.

One time I sat around for a full minute, just soaking up an enemy's health ray, standing atop a sentry turret acting like a fool.

well, when you're disguised as an enemy as a spy, you can steal enemy health from dispensers and medics. It actually heals you. So some spies will get an enemy to heal them while they go around on a short rampage then kill the medic.

I was tricked into that once, he backstabbed one guy before I needled him to death.

In one game I saw a medic on my team manage to capture a point in the middle of about 4 enemies because he was sticking next to one of our disguised spies and healing them.. Everyone just assumed since he was healing what appeared to be their teammate he was on their team <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
