    ...what update? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
Maybe I'm not looking in the right places, but I couldn't find a link to it on the main UW page.
<a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/decoda/" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com/decoda/</a> seems to work, but the FAQ and Forum for it are messed up.

All fixed. You don't miss anything, eh?

<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Plug and play. It requires no code changes and supports Lua 4.0 and later. It supports Company of Heroes, <b>World of Warcraft</b>, etc. and will work with your creation too.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    Bwuh-wuh-wuh-what?

Flayra, I think its time I finally send that ring off so we won't feel so guilty when I start having your babies.

Edit: Oh, and it seems that if you go to navigate the rest of the forums from that site, you retain the --decoda logo where UWE's should be.

<strike>I get the impression that this is going to be a free download; is this the case? I can't remember it being mentioned anywhere.</strike>
In either case, the WoW support should be very popular indeed. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

    [edit]If it's going to have copy protection, it's probably not free. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
Any idea on the price range?

Do you think you'll pull in a lot of extra cash as an added revenue source from licensing this to people\companies? Is there big demand for something like Decoda for other LUA developers? I'm not too familiar with it, other than it sound handy that you can make changes to the script in real-time.

I think this is just the "Official" LUA editor for NS2, as he has already told us about how lots of the gameplay coding will be LUA, and thusly easily malleable.

I like how you include secret goodies in the screenshot Charlie. It seems the pistol, machine gun and shotty will be making a return along with commander mode :]

So call me dense and all but this is like a basic level UI modding tool? Or is it more?

If I were to hazard a semi-informed guess, I would say that this can modify any part of NS2 that is opened to LUA scripting. Who knows how much or how little that is.

    Most of the game, apparently. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

    From <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/news/2007/02/prosumers_and_natural_selection_2" target="_blank">Prosumers and Natural Selection 2</a>:
    <!--quoteo(post=0:date=:name=Flayra)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Flayra)</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->[...]
We are then treating the game more as a library or API, with most of NS-specific code implemented in this scripting language. This includes things like setting up the tech tree (including costs, research times, dependencies), spawning (wave spawn, spawning at structures, etc.), the resource model and even how all the structures work. Here's some example code that shows how armories currently work in NS2:

I'm definitely planning on buying this. It would have helped me *so* much about a year ago. Most of our gameplay logic was in Lua code, so it would have been very helpful if we could have had real-time debugging for our scripts.
