Buildings in NS2

Mods, feel free to lock this if its been asked before but I didn't find it.

Has there been any confirmation that NS2 will in fact have the building/RTS aspect carried over? I kind of assumed this would be the case but I know in a recent interview Flayra mentioned a redone spawn system, which got me thinking that this might mean no more hive/IPs.

Has there been any confirmation on the return of a comm, a gorge and buildings?

We've seen parts of scripts for buildings, so it seems impossible that they would not be in.

We're actually hoping to include more RTS-type elements than were in Natural Selection 1. We'll probably be discussing those more on the <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/blog/" target="_blank">blog</a> when we start implementing them.

Great to hear it confirmed. I always assumed the RTS aspects would be kept in but you know what they say about assuming <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

thats not a hugely reliable picture, it only contains a small proportion of players and it's based upon people's own created categories rather than selecting priorities from a list. Thus later participants are highly influenced and biased by the choices of the first few people, that and you have a heap of useless 1 vote categories.

Why don't you read my disclaimer again? I don't claim it to be hugely reliable. I actually am planning to make a large pie chart that has all except lone votes. And lastly, just because it's not perfect doesn't make it meaningless like you are trying to imply. How about instead of bashing my work and something potentially very helpful towards the community, you help me with it? I appreciate help, not whinning.

I'd normally PM that but since you were rude enough to state that in public and I'm pissed -- franky? -- you don't deserve much respect right now.

    ~edit~ removed some anger
