<div class="IPBDescription">First model release, whee!</div>So.. I have been messing around during the last year and this is my latest creation (or should I say, only? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />). If any of you still play NS, you might like this.

Basically, it's yet <i>ANOTHER </i> mine replacement model (world view only though.). The dropped version is an "unarmed" mine, showing a green screen. The planted version has a red screen with a red glow. Hope you like it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

looks pretty spiffy, im glad to see the custom forum is already starting to kick itself off.

it wouldnt be too difficult for you to make the v_model. you just have to decompile, replace the mines, reassign verts, and compile. it doesnt look like you would even have to adjust the hands or animations at all.

Well.. I thought it would be that easy too, 6john. Alas, things turned out to be quite more difficult than expected so the v_ models went to hell, sadly. Maybe some day I'll learn to animate ^^

Very cool looking. Hope you reconsider trying to give it a V model again.

went ahead and made the view models for you. i tested them and they work fine in game. i didnt really bother reanimating them since the default animations look fine to me. if you choose to use these just please put my name in the credits.

edit: for some reason the attatchment isnt working, and i cant log into my webhost so if someone could help me out here itd be great.

    Thank you John6! but alas the correct version for the v_model would've been the green one <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
However, what disturbs me is that the current animations do not fit the new model.. especially the "idle2", "draw" and "activate" ones..

In fact, I can manage to make a new detailed mine model for the v_ view, but I need to find someone who is able to make new and original animations for it. Hope you understand now why I didn't go through the trouble of animating it myself (because I know that I, for one, can't animate : I can only re-use existing animations and/or bones).

However, if any of you lot like using that new v_ file, feel free to do so, it has my support until something original comes to surface <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />

well the activate and idle2 animations arnt used i dont think. i know that the activate one isnt anyways and the heavy doesnt even have the idle2 animation. the draw doesnt fit perfectly but its not to bad. also i spose youre right on the green one, i dunno why i used the red one. if you make a high detail one for the view model i can animate it for you, i just didnt bother to since it wouldve been better to have a simple v model than none at all.

Please don't dig up old threads. This thread is nearly a year old.

The author posted three screenshots, but quite obviously his host is down. So perhaps you should PM the author; or if he doesn't respond, post a new thread asking if anyone has it, and link back to this thread.

And in answer to your question - no, custom models don't affect the Valve Anti-Cheat system.
