I'm surprised that the house didn't literally go down in flames and the neighbor's houses as well.

Note - The quote is from the first link/site but the second link/site has some info not present on the first site.

<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->A GIRL’S party was advertised on MySpace and hundreds of gatecrashers wrecked her family home.

Rachel Bell, 17, planned a bash for 40 friends when her mum went away for the night.

But more than 200 turned up after an invitation was placed on MySpace website under the heading “lets all trash the average family-sized house disco party”.

The teenager - who is still too ashamed to face her parents and is in hiding - apologised to her parents today.

She told a regional newspaper: "I totally regret it.

“It was just supposed to be a party with a few friends and it turned into a complete nightmare. I’m sorry mam.

“I’m really, really sorry about what’s happened. I totally regret it - it was a complete nightmare and I’d warn anybody having a party not to put anything on MySpace because the sites can be hacked.”

Rachel added: “I was going to tidy up after the party - I thought I had a couple of days to clean the house before my parents got back.

“Then the ex-neighbour came and told me my mam was on her way home and everyone had better clear out - and I left.”

The web ad promised a bash as wild as those on Channel 4 show Skins.

Revellers came from as far as London, 300 miles away.

Neighbours watched in horror as teenagers swarmed over the quiet cul-de-sac, swigging beer, hurling eggs and yelling abuse.

They caused £20,000 worth of damage to the house over seven hours of utter mayhem.

Rachel’s mum Elaine, who was alerted by neighbours, dashed home hours later and was physically sick at the scenes of devastation.

Amazingly, her last words to her daughter before she went away had been: “I don’t want any kids or drink in the house.”

The partygoers had:

EMPTIED every drawer and flung clothes around the garden
BURNED holes in carpets, chairs and mattresses
GROUND broken bottles and glasses into the carpets
SMASHED mirrors and URINATED on the family’s clothing — including Elaine’s wedding dress.
Sixth-former Rachel fled and her mum and dad Alan, both 48, were so furious they demanded police ARREST her.

She has stayed with a pal since Monday’s party and is “too scared” to return to the wrecked £230,000 four-bed detached home in Woodstone Village, Co Durham.

Rachel later told her parents she organised a party for just 40 pals — but someone else put the invitation on the net.

It urged revellers to bring drink and “squirty cream” — and not to leave drugs lying round.

Neighbour Morc Coulson, 45, said: “There were so many people they couldn’t all fit in the house.

“Police tried to disperse them but they ran off into the woods. At one stage me and three blokes with golf clubs tried to keep kids away from the house. It was absolute bedlam.”

The family has been staying in emergency accommodation because their home is unfit for habitation.

Teacher Elaine — who had taken their other daughter, nine, and two sons, 11 and 13, to a caravan site — said: “It feels like my house has been raped.

“They’ve been sick everywhere, urinated and trashed the place. I can’t believe the police didn’t do anything. ”

A spokesman for Durham Police — who sent a convoy of cars AND a dog unit to the party — said the trouble was difficult to contain as the guests were invited to the house.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Things to note that I noted:

Forty people isn't "few friends", as the girl said.

What does "the site being hacked" have to do with anything? You don't put personal stuff on Myspace because people hack it, it's because people READ it.

I guess she thought some hacker will hack myspace and put the party info on a public site for everyone to see but hey wait, Myspace is a public site.

Personally, I don't feel bad for the girl at all.

I liked how she said forty people were "few people". Honestly, I think the house could be wrecked like that as well, even with forty people.

How can she contain a party with forty people? Especially when she only knows 5-7 people who is coming and the rest are pretty much strangers.

Also what if those forty people invited other people, and the people who were invited also invite more people?

<b>Basically, I think that the same problem would have happened even if the party wasn't advertised on Myspace.</b>

Seems like the girl is going to be kicked out of the house and never allowed to come back the second she turns the legal age to be kicked out.

    LOL!
We have a saying in Denmark; "Så kan han/hun/du lære det" roughly translated into "THEN, she can learn [not doing thing refered to]"

bah, the main frame of the house still stands - what "PARTY"?
Forty people is controlable. If you know them that is.

You really have to wonder what she thought would happen. Did she expect people to show up in top hats and ball gowns for a little late night romp.

Forty reasonable people can very well have a party, it's really not that much... If you know that the people who come won't decide to urinate on wedding dresses and whatnot.

Also, who cares, some people are naturally defective, it's not big news.
