Best thing to do was to use a potion of magic immunity or a magic resistant character (like viconia, she rocked) and then let her take all the damage. It was a slow fight but rewarding when they're all dead.

ToB had a nice way to finish the story, plus you finally found a use for the gold pantaloons and silver knickers (or whatever). Oh and it had the funniest bit of all, near the end(ish) you come across a group of new adventurers and... well just play it

Only bad bit about ToB was the thief traps were so powerful that I just used them to kill all the hardest characters. 4 spike traps could knock out a dragon.

Mmm, timestop. In fact, combine Time Stop with Alacrity to kill anything in seconds .

Know what really **** me off in BG1? When you got a mage char got him to high levels, bought all the best equipment to him instead of the other party member just to realize in the end that Servok is 100% IMMUNE TO MAGIC!. Magic immunity is just retarded.
It makes the game just about impossible for attack-based mages, like myself.

At least NWN let you get the exotic weapons feat, which let you use the uber awesome weapons. Except it had no real 'parties' so it sucked

So did any of you beat up Drizzt and/or Gorion? And I must admit I cheated at one point, to get in at the meeting where Saervok was you needed a invitation. Where are you suposed to begin? I just just couldn't handle running trough the whole game looking for a specific npc.

On topic:

*approches a room* Cat "mjauu" Enemy soldier "Find your own dinner!" you "sick bastards" -Shogo

*Parachute fails* "AAAAAAAH mother ******!!" -GTA SA
• CMEastCMEast Join Date: 2002-05-19 Member: 632Members
I killed Drizzt and I think Gorion as well although he was far harder. I definitely fought him after completing the game for the second time by importing my top level mage and ranger in, 3 of each and then letting lose . Did you kill that rock hard mage that you summon up by clicking on a particular tombstone repeatedly in the grave yard in Beregost (I think). He is surrounded by those... phoenix guard I think they were called, the ones that exploded when you killed them. Now he was tricky . Actually, thinking on it, I might not have killed him either, I think he only appeared to summon more of his guards and then vanished again.

The big question though is did anyone ever try killing the head boss of the thieves in BG2? There was some super thief that could instakill anyone with one hit and was pretty magic resistant too. I tried to get his weapon and, though massive spamming of the 'wand of summoning' to create a wall plus loads of 'lower resist' to reduce his immunity I managed to get him down to '[COLOR=red]near death[COLOR]' but I think he either has an amazing regen that I never quite beat or he is actually immortal, either way I never killed him.

Oh finally, did you know you could get two Rings of Gaxx from Kangaxx? I found out when I wanted the ring but was too weak to kill him, revived him and pickpocketed (and ran like buggery). Later on I was a bit harder and killed him and lo and behold, another ring. I think it's because he transforms from the lich into that skull.

This should be in a BG2 thread
