Roftwood is one of the best starting places... lots of zombies for necrotech to tag, and theres a Mall, 2 PD's, and a hospital all right next to each other.

Pish posh. My scientist is way too leet and has way too many syringes to be unable to survive any zombie attack.

Btw, which is better, a baseball bat or a length of pipe?

I have 64 exp, and it's time I start thinking about upgrades.
What should I get? I'm a NecroTech Scientist. I enjoy looting
more than doing damage, I'm very, very, concerned aobut not
dying...where do I get revivification syringe?

Also, after I get geared up in Yagoton, I'm moving on to Darvall
Heights...nice suburb, alot of PDs and FSs. I've got some Shotguns,
but no upgrades...

Get the next tier for necrotech scientist... I forget the name right now, but it allows you to use the basic necrotech. That'll be the revivification syringe.

To find the syringe, you need to look for a necrotech building and spam 'search the area' until you burned 3 days of AP. Then maybe you'll find one. More often, you'll get about 7 GPS.

So, I take it revivfication syringes are rare??
I'm stuck in the Dawbin Musem, right next to the Bale Mall
in Yagoton. Please come and heal me, 34 HP. How often
does human infighting occur???

Having revifification syringes won't do you any good, as far as keeping yourself alive is concerned.

Well my Condi Gorgeson has been human, zombie, human, and currently, zombie again.
I'm attacking Supernorn in one of the cities right now.

Darnit. He either moved or was inactive so long his character disapeared.

I've got about 15 rounds of pistol ammo and seven shotgun rounds. Woe is the zombie who tries to take me on.

<3

Private Haisho, Dorothey Plaze PD, West Boundwood
Scientist Resho, Necrotech building, Whittenside

Well to say the least, I got Consumer for Resho. Now all I need to do is haul myself over to some mall that isn't infested with zombies
The only good thing about Whittenside is that there are VERY few zombies to chase me around.

Haisho is sorta in deeper doodoo than Resho though, being in West Boundwood and all.
Good thing I found a nice encampment of Privates, Civilians and the odd scientist.
I'm gonna camp there and spam search till I have a healthy amount of pistol clips. Nothing better than having a 55% hit rate with your pistol

If anyone who wants to be revived can make it to Whittenside (probably not though) drop by the building south of the Anne General Hospital, or the buildings around there at least, and I'll stick that magic needle into your neck

This game has alot more player involvement then I previously thought.

In Peppardville, a Fort is under heavy siege. Flares are being shot off almost every hour from the Armory as reports of undead numbering in the 40s attempt to siege the Fort Armory. There are somewhere around 12-20 defenders in the fort, with dead bodies being thrown off the roof everyday. In turn, the bodies are being re-animated to join the ranks of the undead. Massive countermeasures are being taken to get as many Medics and NecroTech Scientists into the armory as possible. Those who couldn't handle the pressure are now making their way south as fast as possible.

Currently, I'm still in Yagoton, by the Bale Mall, stocking up on supplies.
Eventually I will be journeying to the East, towards Peppardville or Rhodenbank
to see if I can be of any assistance to the survivors...

EDIT: If I'm carrying around some Revivification syringes,
will they revive me, or only other people?
• MantaManta Join Date: 2005-01-12 Member: 35056Members
You can only use them on other people. If you die, you keep them, but you can't use them.

I'm slowly realising how effing cool this game is, its just a shame everything happens so slowly... me wants more action points!

I currently have a cop... who sucks... and a private, who rocks. I find this strange, as there should be little actual difference between the two, besides that a cop gets a flack jacket and a private gets spare ammo.

My cop consistantly fails to find anything useful when searching for stuff, while my private has found some great hauls of phat lewt, and has quickly caught up with my cop in terms of exp.

Oh, my cop's name is Bobrick by the way, and my private is named Nilson.
• MantaManta Join Date: 2005-01-12 Member: 35056Members
It's just bad luck on your cop's part, Nil. You're right, there isn't much of a difference between the two, except the costs for different skills. Your cop, if you just stick to searching for a little while, could end up better because it costs 100 exp for all skills, including the valuable science ones (First Aid is really useful if you're far from any medics).

I joined up. Private Winstion, currently under seige in Peppardville. I wasted a zombie and found some decent loot like a few pistol clips, a spare pistol and a flak jacket. I'm probably going to flee as soon as I can in favor of a more zombie-free locale. The armory is great for looting if you can stand the zombies.

just made my way to a necrotech building, and im planning on either doing lots of searching or getting out of there, depending on what the dead bodies outside want to do

While these so-called "safe houses" may seem good at first, you are all making the classic, tragic mistake made by so many zombie movie protagonists: holing up in one place. Sure, you can keep searching for ammo to go out and get more experience, but it's only a matter of time until the number of zombies with Memories of Life is greater than the number of defenders. Eventually, they'll just swarm you and chip away at your health as you waste your turns shooting them off, saving no AP to get health.

Then again, the characters in zombie movies don't have unlimited resources, so that could be avoided.
• GeminosityGeminosity :3 Join Date: 2003-09-08 Member: 20667Members
Are you guys sure that 'memories of life' just lets that lone zombie in?
I remember one place I went inside had the doors open so I had to spend an AP point shutting them again (in addition to wasting a point going inside in the first place :p ).

I was thinking memories would open the doors like that instead... :o
• MantaManta Join Date: 2005-01-12 Member: 35056Members
I don't even remember seeing an ability to open doors when I was inside a building as a survivor. Maybe I just overlooked it.

Anyone know what wirecutters do?
