Players will get stuck and irritated with the angle of those door ways compare to floor. Onos will have to duck/jump through there won't it?

I don't know what it is about the monitors. I just think the glow is very cool. And oni are fat, sometimes I think we're designing these ships and station to suit the onos their needs

Could you adjust the texture on the sides of that monitor-on-a-tray thing forward a bit so the edge in the texture goes right along the corners? It looks sloppy when it's just slapped on like that...

I'd move it to the "right"(according to the pic) about two inches.

he means to have the black "outline" follow the edge of the monitor.

Cloist, PLEASE make your avatar go in reverse before it starts over, my eyes hurt but you're right. DATi has done a rather good job on this, particularly with lesser-used textures and nice lighting.

I'm mapping but really sloooooowly. Here's a sneak peek of the other side of the tunnel. (Sneak peek only because I haven't mapped the other side yet. )

Looking a bit Tanith but only in general brushwork and lighting terms.

I reckon you should raise the floor in that tunnel because from the other side the shape doesn't look great, plus it would mean Oni et al. have less height to jump, which means they have to be less precise (which is good when you wanna get/leave somewhere real quick).

So... two months later and I'm still mapping... I have a bit of mappers block though, so here's a refined med lab shot.

it's not that theres to many of them, they just seem to bright and blury. they stiand out too much.

maybe just darken them a little so they dont stick out so much and making em a bit.. 'sharper'

It's a style which I love and would keep on at, but the NS scene prefers brighter maps these days so I am joining the "new fad". Vargus is a reminder of the NS 1.x custom map scene Dark, intense atmosphere (Think Caged/Nothing influence).

The light to the right of the door (with the 4 bars) looks REALLY weird.
As does the one on the left. The red looks nice. Maybe you could have a flickering red light that lights up the whole room then plunges it into darkness again? Creepy.

Yeah, I don't care for the new fad too much, myself. I like the caged / nothing / tanith style. Even though tanith was rather bright overall, it made you feel like you were there. Some of the new custom maps are just walls with ns2.wad slapped on them.

New Pictures.

1/4 - These first two pictures are from "finalized" areas. (Observations) They're basically done aside from your critiques.

Well, might be so... but you can surely tone up the brightness even if it is a WIP...

I won't go posting screenshots of the very first compile for example, something like: LOOK AT MY SCREENS, YOU CAN'T SEE BLOODY **** BUT IT'S A WIP, STAY TUNED FOR MORE BRIGHTNESS NEXT TIME.

I hope you get my point...
