That ship looks like the ship the marines use in Aliens, and it also looks like the Event Horizon from the movie of the same name <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

cant there be more than one type of "collosus war crusier"?

looked like it would go good in homeworld 2 or something... i like the pistol too

The Ship was Inspired by the Aliens cruiser. As for putting it into Homeworld 2, I highly doubt it, It'd most likely go into Nexus since the Black Sun engine would do it more justice.

Your ak47 is almost perfect, just do some more poly wasting on both grips and your good to go, since their not quite so 'round'

well round and thin the rear stock and the front grip but keep the front that round. looks good just, improve a bit on the bolt handle, also, deepen the rectangular milling on the sides, also deepen and cut the top receiver model so that the bolt and the receiver top are actually a separate piece.
  • xKORExslimxKORExslim Join Date: 2003-01-11 Member: 12182Members
The bolt and the reciever ARE a seperate piece.

This is the Stamped AK, the old version. Stamped AK was made of plates of metal that were stamped into shape and bolted together.
I wont add more polies to the handle because you wont see it ingame. In fact, adding anymore polies wouldn't be worth it, It's already at 2700.

didnt I just say that, I said model it to there is alittle more depth between the bolt and the top reciever, also I was judging the milled reciever from the TOP image, I actually didnt knowtice the stamped reciever for the other two. Then im really not sure where all of the polies are going, not the most detailed AK ive seen. and if you actually plan on this being used and if its got fire animations your Will see the bolt handle.
  • xKORExslimxKORExslim Join Date: 2003-01-11 Member: 12182Members
Course you will, and there is a bolt handle. It's an unskinned model, you cant see it very well due to the whole model being ONE COLOR. In terms of accuracy, I'm not really aiming for the most accurate model, I just want a good looking model and I want people who see it go "Hey that's an AK-47".

Anyways, I used 12-16 sided cylinders, that explains where the polies are.
