My biggest problem with Star Wars is the Dark and Light sides. I'm pretty damn sure I'd be a light gray force user, TYVM.

Well the Star Wars movies are good at making good trailers but failing to deliver on the awesomeness seen in said trailers. I actually think that this one will be good. They just have to be careful because this is THE episode to tie the entire story together, so if they mess it up, its all over.

Trailers? Huh? We're talking about a review of the movie. In addition to the Rotten Tomatoes one, there have been about 5 others, and I think they've all been positive. And you and some other jedi in KOTOR are also "light gray"

I don't think Grievous will be that powerful. Sure, he as 4 lightsabers, and is a good jedi killer, but he's no match for Windu (cf. Clone Wars chest burst cough thing) and probably all those better characters will be better.

I love the commercials for the video game THEY ALREADY MADE (GG consumer ****).

"OLOLOL GET ALL JEDI POWERS FOR THE FIRST TIME"

o_O

yeah i got jedi powers years ago, they were fun stuff then i got bored playing the same levels over and over. I hope they just updated the graphics and added tighter controls... if i ever play it that is.

Yeah, wth....I fear the game must REALLY suck if they're releasing it before the movie.

Actually, wouldn't that mean that the movie is going to suck? And then no one would buy the game?

Jedi Outcast was mad fun. You can't beat the shiny, black, reflective floor of an Imperial docking bay replete with Stormtroopers to slice up or dark Jedi to duel. However, I have to give the nod to Dark Forces II. Gigantic levels, great surround sound, awesome lightsaber fights, wonderful music, and like, yeah. It's all good.

JK was great, I liked Dark Forces II, but c'mon. Jedi Outcast had all that and more. Including a fun multiplayer.

The level design in Jedi Outcast hurt. It was physically painful to play through those awful levels, especially the first few (hint to Raven: if you can't make the "first person shooting" part of your first person shooter fun, don't dedicate the first third of your game to it).

The plot was bad, even compared to Jedi Academy's and especially compared to that of JK and Kyle was a mere shadow of what he once was (including the voice acting).

I'm not saying it wasn't an overall good game, because it was, but to suggest that it was anywhere near as good as JK is to suggest the ridiculous.

All that, and you've obviously never played JKMP. Canyon Oasis will never die.

I always cheated and gave me a green saber with lvl 1 force powers. Personally i agree with you... certian aspects of JO (which transfered into JA later) were very average level design and voice acting.

However... after JK, IMO they made the combat system much more fluid. I've gone through entire levels in JO with my lightsaber OFF. force power only. It was intensely fun for me. The graphic improvements weren't spectacular... but they were there. there was a code in JO (been so long i forgot it... i made key bindings for all the cheats i ever wanted) that let you hack limbs off. it felt as though i had a real saber in my hand as i sliced specific body parts off of screaming troopers. (sick twisted fun FTW! )

There are a few reasons this game will not live up to the former games:

- Its on a Console... I laugh at those who say they could control the full potential of a jedi knight with a CONTROLLER. LOL AT YOU!

- Its on the Xbox... which is a console

- Did i mention it being on a console?

The sheer speed, and number of abilities jedis have possessed in JK, JO, and JA makes console play seem impossible to me.

Sorry, I'm going to take the bait.

"Rape the classics?" What's your definition of rape, buddy? Go back and correct the color balance? Add better special effects? Add in scenes that were originally planned but couldn't make the cut because of budget concerns? The only destruction of Lucas' orginial version occured when you saw the 1977 version, where time and money pressure made him take out parts he wanted to add. The Special Edition, and the DVD version, are the way Lucas intended it. If you think "rape" equates to "improve" then you're just desperately grasping at straws to find some way to be "cool" and criticize Lucas.

Hold up there for a moment, oh Tycho in whom licks people on the deeprun tram.
If you look at the quote in my post, it was talking about how episode 3 has to, story wise, pull all the episodes together. So one can assume I'm responding to that.

Or, you can start off by mentioning colour correction and special effects which have little to no impact on the story itself!

I had no issue with them correction colour balance, nor did I have an issue with them prettying up the special effects. Hey, some of them were even quite nice. I mean, Cloud city being an actual city in the clouds instead of some boring white corridors was kinda nice. The poorly done 3D jabba and Han jumping over his tail.. Its questionable.

Adding scenes he ment to put in, meh. Not that bad. Had some upsides and some downsides. I wasn't a huge fan of Greedo shooting first, nor was the Han Solo and jabba scene in the first one really nessicary. I mean, sure, he planned it, but by putting it back in he really detracted from Hans character. Every character in those movies had something sorta left out at the beginning. The thing left out for Han was the reason why he had a bounty on his head.
What would the movies be like had they told you that Darth Vader was Lukes father and Leia was his sister all in the first movie? It would detract from their character

Changing plot points because he contradicted stuff later on and couldn't just take it like a man and change the new project to fit with the old one?
That was just plain wrong.
Changing dialouge, plot points, even the colour of a characters eyes.

I don't believe Tolkin had to go back and rewrite The Hobbit because he contradicted something in it while writing LOTR.

They left out Han's reason for having a bounty on his head? Greedo's dialogue is something like "Jabba doesn't take kindly to people who drop their shipments at the first sign of Imperial Cruisers." I don't think it gets more explicit than that; Han dumped Jabbas cargo because he was about to be boarded. It's even explained further when Han accepts the deal from Obi-Wan right before then; he talks to Chewie about how he'll be able to pay off Jabba the Hutt.
