    Understand that asking about scripts is not like asking about hacks. You do not ask for "the pistol script" like you would ask for "aimbot." There is no The anything script. Everything can be done multiple ways with scripts. It's customizing your game, not an outside program.

    Describe to us what you want your game to do with the pistol. You want a script that makes you shoot more bullets when you hit a button, right? How do you want it to work? How many bullets? Is control an issue here like it should be? You want a script that's smooth and no-hassle, right? We can SUGGEST a script. Just out of the blue I'd say what you're looking for is a script that makes your pistol shoot once when you click the button and once when you let go, so you can fire faster with less finger movement. It's short, easy, and you have the same control or more than by fast clicking. However, if you tried to use your LMG with this script, I think a badly made script might crash HL at worse, and at best would fire LMG bullets when you clicked down and one more when you let up automatically. It depends on how stupid the script writer is and if he gets his commands in the right places.

    I don't have my userconfig and scripts in front of me, or I'd type you out one right here. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->

    My newest userconfig.cfg:

    Now with ms_bs 1 combatablitly!
    <!--c1--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->

    bind MOUSE2 "+slot2"

    bind ALT "+slot4"

    bind "q" "+popupmenu"<!--c2--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->

    I just dont like moving my fingers away from "wasd." I had the <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=86423&view=findpost&p=1367113' target='_blank'>two different configs</a> that I would enable using 3 different .cfg's (marine, alien, and vanilla NS), but the server I play on (and help pay for) decided to mp_bs 1 enable. I'm cool with that, but I still wanted a way to use something like I had before, so I came up with a solution I was cool with. However, now that I think about it, I could have did the following:

    <!--c1--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->
    //slot2
    alias +slot2 "slot2"
    alias -slot2 "slot1;"
    bind MOUSE2 "+slot2"

    //slot3
    alias +slot3 "slot3;"
    alias -slot3 "slot1;"
    bind "MOUSE4" "+slot3"

    //slot4
    alias +slot4 "slot4;"
    alias -slot4 "slot1;"
    bind ALT "+slot4"

    bind "q" "+popupmenu"<!--c2--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->

    The only thing I don't like is having to actually "4" if I have multiple items in slot 4...
    I might bind welder to mwheelup and grendade to mwheeldown, but I'm still toying with it. I like holding until I am done with the weapon. Ideas would be welcomed, of course.

    But that is my current scripts.

    There's confusion here. Macros are not scripts. Macros are custom keyboards/mice that can spam a keypress just by holding the key down. (Like the behaviour backspace on a standard keyboard.)

    Any script that is not blocked by bs1 (or indeed IS blocked, and is used on a bs0 server,) is not cheating in my opinion. However there is no pscript that works on a BS1 server... :S

    That's my interpretation of macros, please correct it if you believe it's inaccurate. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Macros are programmed sequences of keypresses at specified intervals of time. You could write a macro that runs left for 3 seconds, jumps, moves forward for a second and then stops. You could do lots of things with macros, things which would be evil.

    Usually you can only write macros if your mouse or keyboard supports macros.

    I use a profile script for myself and friends using the same computer, and then I use <a href='http://members.cox.net/flaming.june/form/' target='_blank'>Form</a> for slot selection with a alien specific cfg script to specify different slot selections for each alien class.

    Skulk
    mouse3 toggles between bite/parasite
    mwheelup 1st alt slot is leap
    mwheeldown 2nd alt slot is xeno

    Gorge
    same as skulk

    Lerk
    same as skulk

    Fade
    mouse3 toggles between swipe/blink
    mouse4 selects/uses(depends on bs_1) acid rockets if swipe is parent/primary
    mwheeldown selects/uses(depends on bs_1) metabolize if blink is primary/primary

    Onos
    mouse3 toggles between gore/stomp
    mwheelup toggles between devour/stampede
    mwheeldown selects last used parent slot
    mouse4 selects+uses stomp if parent/primary slot is gore(depends on bs_1)

    Marines
    mouse3 toggles between pistol and primary
    mwheelup toggles between mines/welder/grenade
    slot2's alt slot is slot5 that actually selects grenades specifically
    slot3's alt slot is welder
    mouse4 is first alt slot selector

    Macros are unapproved third party software, and thus are cheating. Macros have absolutly nothing to do with scripting.

    "Write macros"... Well you can write scripts regardless of your keyboard settings, and these would fit your definition of macros. If a macro is indeed a feature of a mouse/keyboard driver, then you would not write it, but it WOULD be dependant the mouse/keyboard in question. Catch22, you've gone wrong somewhere. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
