Does Sensory Turret Parasite?

<div class="IPBDescription">Confused now</div> I've seen it as a suggestion, and I've seen it in posts saying why sensories are good. And with the new patch and all, is this a new feature?

nope... but since people just bunch up 3 sensors towers in a hive, u don't get to see the effect... I tend to put one in every Chamber outpost I make.

They parasite, but only if touched. I personally think Sensory chambers should shoot parasites and see through walls, but hey, that's just me.

So basically kinda like a kharaa version of the seige turret, but not as "cheap"? <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

I really don't think they're as useful as they are confusing. They can yell "The enemy approaches" all they want, but if you have more than 1 chamber, you aren't going to know which one they're at until the marines start attacking anyway. Nobody touches a Sensory chamber unless they're a complete goober, so it's not like that ability will ever come into play either.

So ya, firing the parasites, and have them see through walls (with the inherent putting of marines on hivesight) or make them cloak.

If I'm not mistaken sensory does see through wall and adds everything it sees through the wall to hive sight.

the sensory chamber should disguise it self as an armory so marines will touch it. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Marines don't have to get in 'touch' range to knife a sensory turret. As a marine I've knifed down a few sensories, without getting a parasite, by swinging and then 'edging' up to the turret, until I start damaging it, then stop moving forward.

So, unless a marine just stumbles over the chamber, odds are a sensory chamber is good for little more than acting as shielding for your off chambers.
