<div class="IPBDescription">a little bit at lease.</div> It starts when a pro, a regular or forumist who read this post or discover it themselves. and spread it like virus

teh new virus is named:
<span style='color:red'>2 bites a PARAA</span>

it usually starts with the people who para. skulk bite bite and die, the man comes in and *pak*. skulk bite bite, the man again *pak*. n00bs and noobs duplicates and start para-ing. eventually, para is no longer a indicator of regulars and they finally learn para.

well it didnt break the A1 custom<span style='color:purple'>(yeah fade takes 3 swipes to kill a a1 marine and 2 for a0. and bullets dun get better shooting at skulks when w1.)</span> but it improved the world a bit.

    People will always credit their wins to their own skill and credit thier losses to a broken game. For the next little bit while people lose alien games they will blame the new patch, even if objectively it didn't have an impact on events like fades dying, that truely created the actual outcome of the game.

    Very true Router Box, the other phenomenom we have to deal with at this time is the imaginary changelogs. Whenever we release a new patch, people talk about how change X is good or bad when there was no such change.

    I've seen people comment on
    o The new fade blink
    o The increased rof of acid rocket
    o The build time for pgs ( it being percieved as both faster and slower on different occasions ).

    My favorite one that i saw recently was somebody complaining about the armor boost "making jetpackers even harder to kill!".

    Just gotta shake your head some times.

    The only thing I don't like about the +5 base armor is that a0 marines are not one-shotted by a focus skulk anymore.     No excuses, get a lerk and you can get back to screwing marines the old fashioned way with little effort.

    In classic, gorges and OCs will chip away that wee bit of armour effortlessly either.

    You do realize what this means, don't you? When knife damage was increased to 30 we saw a great deal of knife kills. Now that it takes one parasite and a focus bite we will likely see an increase in para kills and parasited marines.

    besides, you can switch to para and fire faster than you could get off two non-focus bites. Just have para on quickswitch and use it right before or right after your focus bite...

    There are plenty of other ways for marines to take just a little bit of damage...things like spores, a single OC hit, healspray, or gorge spit...heck, even leap+focus bite will usually still work, and if it doesnt, you're really close to a leapkill (ooo gotta go try that <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> )

    Yes...I know that the "paint hasn't dried" as Nem put it, but so far I'm loving this change in every way. Para is used more, A0 marines are a little tougher, A3 marines can survive 2 focus hits if they get medpacks...all good. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    ive played like 3 games, but i still think it rulez.

    Slower alien startgame pushes everything back, and lets marines build up some res and tech, making early fades and skulk rambos (they're kinda rambos) less effective.

    $5 says that everyone who is now complaining that +5 armor is making marines overpowered are the same people who complained that aliens were overpowered in the last version

    I don't like the new armor upgrade. I really enjoyed early focus ownage.     This is an interesting issue, and I can't decide where I stand on it yet. On one hand this is a MAJOR nerf to early sensory, since focus skulks are countered right away, with no worries of getting armor 1. On the other hand, late focus is still fine, it is just somewhat counter intuitive to use focus late (hence why the LM build order of choice is still MDS rather then MSD) but it is acctually quite effective when people suck it up and try.

    I like that it encourages more cloak and SoF skulks rather then focus skulks... but focus skulks were an important part of the game, expecially in Co mode.

    these changes will definitely help. I really don't like focus as an upgrade, and with the effective "nerf" on early focus, maybe skulks will stop using it.

    I personally like the fact that this makes the Fade more than simply a large skulk. The extra 5 damage actually means something now, which I see as a boon, and makes it (going fade) more worth the 50 res for your average pubber.

    wrong. the people who thought 3.0F was fine and more balanced than b5 are the ones most likely to complain now.

    a noob is satisfied when one side of the game is so overpowered its ridiculously easy to win with them. then they can just stack that team.
