<div class="IPBDescription">concept ns art</div> so i havent posted much,, barely anything in the past 5 months. though with reasons. mostly family wise, but other then that. I have also lately been suffering from artists disease, where the artist hates their own work <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> .. anyways, i spent alot of months trying to find a new colouring style, and with the help of some brushes sent by a friendly artist from concept art, I have finally found my colouring style and I am now ready to get on with making pics <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
so.. heres a little bit of concept art which I was doing while practicing with my new brush and playing with colours etc to get the right shading.

the fade took 4 hrs :/ fades are always more complicating. i dunno why but i always struggle with them. i think its because its hard to do black tones than coloured
the only "arty" thing i do is mapping, which can barely even be considerd art <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
although a m8 once said "mapping is like creating a painting... only you get to walk around in it"

its true that. everything has its own way of art. even buildings are art..
I only made one map once, and that was alien side of ns_sg-abydos.. map isnt publicly released from what i know, only one server runs the map <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

yeah i used references for them all. I prefer to get the details exact than wrong, i just take a screeny of a good pose, use it for reference, along with other pics for closer detail shots of skin etc to get it right.. still need work tho
