    I've tried webbing marines before by shooting it directly at them, but it doesn't work that way. You have to have two focal points linked to each other(strands of web) for the effect to work.

    Shooting web strands directly at a marine does not entangle him. If this were possible, it would be way too easy for a Gorge to go on a rampage, which is exactly NOT what the Gorge is intended to do. However, if you're fast, you may be able to shoot webs in such a way that the strand that's created passes directly though the marine, causing him to get wrapped up.

    In a game the other day a marine got caught in my webs, so I simply kept building webs around him so he was getting more & more stuck, called for a skulk over voice comm and just sat there spinning my webs and chuckling until the skulk came and got his free lunch <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    a great thing to do is if you know a marine is coming for you, shoot one end of the web on one side of an area, then when he is coming through, shoot the other side at or by him and it should web him up... it works wonders...

    Actually, there is a way to entangle marines on the fly. Simply set up a defensive position(OCs+DCs) and shoot your web ONCE onto a nearby wall. Then, hide behind your fortification, but so you can see out, and and when a marine comes, shoot a web at him. It will connect with the already placed one, and entrap him. Then, your OCs can spit him to death, or you can go out and get him with healing spray for maximum humiliation <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
